Enshrouded 1.0 Release Date: October 15, What's New and Crossplay

Enshrouded 1.0 comes out October 15, 2026 on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5. Keen Games announced the date on June 25, and the Xbox Series X|S version follows in spring 2027.

What time does Enshrouded 1.0 release?

Keen hasn't announced the hour yet, only the day. We'll add it here as soon as they do.

What's new in Enshrouded 1.0

Keen is showing 1.0 in short videos instead of one big reveal. The release date trailer came first, then Things we're fixing for 1.0, which covers changes to what's already in the game.

• The Fell Dragon Youngling now comes down to the ground, so melee players can hit it without stunning it first. Keen also fixed the bugs that reset it to full health or left it stuck.
• Fishing is reworked. Bait now pulls fish mostly from its own biome.
• A more realistic body option for characters.
• NPCs and pets get stuck in your base less often.
• Updraft changes, after the feedback on Update 8.

Performance Improvements for 1.0 is about getting the game to run better, including on low and mid-range PCs. Keen says the full changelog comes in October.

1.0 Combat: changes and additions is for mages. Nine new spells, including Blizzard, Ball Lightning and a new summon type: fire, ice and shock totems and a Hollow Skeleton. Wands get a heavy attack that pierces enemies, and Eternal spells can now be upgraded like weapons.

Is Enshrouded crossplay?

Not announced. Keen hasn't said whether PC and PS5 players can play together, or whether PS5 players can join dedicated servers. Our servers are PC (Steam) dedicated servers.

Enshrouded mods after 1.0

Enshrouded has no official mod support or Steam Workshop. If you run mods on your PC, read Enshrouded mods after the 1.0 update before you update.

Your Enshrouded dedicated server and 1.0

Keen hasn't announced a wipe. Take a backup from the panel before you update anyway.

If Server Update (Automatic) is set to Enable, your server updates to 1.0 the next time it starts or restarts after the build is on Steam. If it's set to Disable, hit Update & Restart on October 15. Your players need 1.0 too, or they'll get a version mismatch. The Enshrouded 1.0 server guide covers the rest.
