Rockstar released the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer on October 15, five weeks before the game comes out on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There's still no official GTA 6 PC release date, but GamesBeat reported two days earlier that Rockstar plans the PC version for the first three months of 2027.
What the GTA 6 launch trailer shows
It runs 91 seconds. Jason talks about his past ("I got in trouble in the army") while working at a marina, Lucia calls, and from there it's heists, a truck racing a plane down a runway, a biplane over the beach and police chases through Vice City. It follows the 26-minute Extended Look from August 27.

The song is "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Justice also wrote the game's score.
The trailer opens on a "Plays best on PS5" card and ends on "Captured on PS5". PC isn't mentioned.

GTA 6 PC release date: the early 2027 report
GamesBeat reported on October 13 that Rockstar plans to release GTA 6 on PC in the first quarter of 2027, citing four industry sources who asked not to be named. Rockstar didn't respond to its request for comment, and Take-Two hasn't announced a PC version.
If that GTA 6 PC release date holds, PC players get the game within about four months of consoles. GTA V took 19 months to reach PC, and Red Dead Redemption 2 took about a year.
Online play has no date either. Twitch CEO Dan Clancy told Bloomberg he expects GTA 6's online mode next year, after talking with Rockstar about its plans.
Why the PC release decides GTA 6 roleplay servers
GTA roleplay lives on PC. FiveM, the platform behind GTA V roleplay servers, only runs on the PC version. At 7:26 AM PT on October 15, 141,783 people were playing FiveM on Steam, while GTA V's two Steam versions had 124,839 between them.
Rockstar bought Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM and RedM, in August 2023. It hasn't said whether FiveM or anything like it will support GTA 6, and it hasn't announced private servers or mod support. None of that can exist before a PC version does.
US Google searches for "gta 6 rp" went from 480 in July to 880 in September, and "gta 6 mods" went from 390 to 1,000, based on Google Ads keyword data.
