How many players can join a ROUTE server?

ROUTE is built around a crew of four: up to 4-player online co-op with proximity voice chat, splitting the driving, fighting, and scavenging. Full server and hosting details haven't been announced yet.

Can I host my own ROUTE dedicated server?

BamBit has not announced dedicated server files or self-hosting support yet. Once hosting details are announced, Survival Servers plans to offer instant, hassle-free ROUTE server rentals.

What game modes does ROUTE support?

ROUTE is zone-by-zone co-op survival: drive your bus through abandoned suburbs, ruined cities, farms, and choked-out highways, park and push on foot where the road ends, and reinforce, repair, and decorate the bus that carries your whole base into the next zone.

What is ROUTE?

ROUTE is a co-op zombie survival game from indie studio BamBit, revealed in July 2026, that passed 50,000 Steam wishlists in its first 20 days. You and up to three friends drive, fortify, and live out of a school bus while crossing a world locked in endless night. BamBit is targeting Steam Early Access in Q4 2026.
