About Human Host
Human Host is an open-world zombie survival crafting game from Virtual Matrix Studio, in Steam Early Access since April 5, 2026. Everything is destructible: terrain, buildings, trees and rocks. Scavenge supplies, tunnel underground, build trap-filled fortresses, and assemble massive mobile bases out of any building material across ten procedurally generated biomes, while the night hordes hunt you. Co-op is in active development.

Human Host is single-player today. Virtual Matrix Studio has co-op in active development and said in August 2026 that they expect to launch it within about two months of the merchant system update. Player counts have not been announced.
Not yet. Virtual Matrix Studio has said co-op will launch on peer-to-peer connections through Steam's relay first, and that they will look into dedicated servers after that. Once hosting details are announced, Survival Servers plans to offer instant, hassle-free Human Host server rentals.
