What Is DayZ Frostline?
DayZ Frostline is a paid map expansion from Bohemia Interactive, released October 15, 2024 on all platforms. It adds Sakhal, a frozen volcanic archipelago in the far east covering 83 km² of winter wilderness — roughly 105 km² of playable terrain once the surrounding ice sheets are counted. Snowy forests, windswept hilltops, scattered fishing settlements, vast ice fields, and a massive naval base replace the temperate woodland of Chernarus.
Survival on Sakhal revolves around the cold. Freezing temperatures punish survivors who stay exposed, so managing body heat around fires, shelter, and the island's volcanic geothermal areas becomes as important as food and water. Your server's temperature mechanics, weather severity, and loot economy are all configurable from our control panel.
