Without SurvivalServers
Delverium ships with 8-player online co-op, but the world lives on one player's machine and only exists while that player has the game open. There is no official dedicated server and none is on the roadmap. Running a real one takes Lodestone, our open-source framework, so the world stays up on its own and anyone with the address and the free Lodestone app can join.
Expected System Requirements
- Windows 10 / 11 or Windows Server 2019 / 2022 (Linux not supported)
- 4 GB RAM or more - the server itself runs comfortably under 2 GB
- Around 1 GB of disk for the game files and server software, plus room for world saves
- 2 ports open (gameplay UDP, server status UDP)
- Port forwarding capability on your router
Required Components
- Delverium game files - on the host machine; the free demo build works until launch, the full game after September 22
- Lodestone - our open-source server software and app (github.com/HumanGenome/Lodestone)
- The Lodestone app - every player installs this once and uses it to join by address
Port Topology (off your gameplay port)
- port - gameplay (UDP), the one players connect to
- port + 1 - server status (UDP), so the app can show whether it is up
- port + 3, + 4, + 5 - optional admin console, admin tools and the live world map
Expected Configuration
- Server name
- Player slots (up to 8, matching Delverium co-op)
- World save selection
- World difficulty and world size
- Server password lock
- Horde mode on or off
Modding
- Lodestone runs on the same mod loader the Delverium community already uses
- Server-side mods load on the server, so nobody has to install them individually
- There is no Steam Workshop or in-panel mod catalog for Delverium yet, so mods are a manual install today
Why Wait? Use SurvivalServers Instead

- Automatic Lodestone updates when new versions release
- 24/7 server uptime - your friends can play even when you're offline
- World settings and save backups managed from the panel

Your server stays online around the clock so your group can build, farm, and delve anytime - even when you're offline. No need to keep your PC running, no host migration, and no waiting for whoever owns the world to log on first.

Frequently Asked Questions about Delverium Server Hosting
Delverium ships with 8-player online co-op, but the world lives on one player's machine and only exists while that player has the game open. We run the dedicated server side using our open-source Lodestone framework, and your group joins through the free Lodestone app - no host PC, and no port forwarding on their end. The world runs 24/7 even when nobody is logged in.
Yes. Delverium's free demo on Steam includes online co-op, and until launch your server runs the demo build, so everyone installs the free demo plus the free Lodestone app and joins your server today. On September 22 we update servers to the full Early Access game, and from then on each player joins with their own copy of Delverium. The developer has not said whether demo saves carry into the full release, so treat a pre-launch world as a warm-up.
Servers run up to 8 slots, matching Delverium's 8-player co-op cap. The difference from stock co-op is that nobody has to play host - the whole group connects to the hosted world and can drop in or out anytime.
Lodestone is our open-source dedicated-server framework for Delverium (github.com/HumanGenome/Lodestone). It runs the game itself as a proper server with no graphics and nobody logged in, so the world no longer lives on a player's PC. Delverium has no server browser of its own, so everyone joining installs the free Lodestone app once, enters the server address from your panel, and connects.
Each friend needs Delverium from Steam (the free demo until launch on September 22, their own copy of the game after that) and the free Lodestone app (linked from your panel). They open Lodestone, add your server by its address, and hit Connect. Characters are made in Delverium itself, exactly as they always were - the app only handles getting you onto the server. The install is a one-time setup per player, and after that connecting is two clicks.
Yes. Your Delverium world is stored on our infrastructure, not on any player's PC, so progress is never tied to whoever created the game. Characters travel with each player, and you can download world backups over FTP from the panel or transfer between datacenters without losing progress. One launch note: the developer has not said whether saves from the demo build load in the full game, so a world started before September 22 may not carry into Early Access.
Lodestone runs on the same mod loader the Delverium community already uses, so server-side mods can be added. There is no Steam Workshop or in-panel mod catalog for Delverium yet, so mods are a manual install today. Your friends do not need to install anything beyond the Lodestone app itself.
Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Miami, Germany, France, and Singapore - all DDoS-protected. Pick the location closest to your friend group.
Yes. Switch datacenter on demand from the panel and cancel any time with no commitment.
Lodestone is a community-built mod, not affiliated with or endorsed by Sagestone Games. Lodestone source + issues: github.com/HumanGenome/Lodestone. SurvivalServers handles hosting only.
