  1. Please do not create threads asking when the server files will be ready and please also do not create a support ticket. We are aware, you will get the latest updates here and here only. Everything will be 100% self managed so you will not need to create a ticket. UPDATE 12:38 AM PST: Working on getting SteamCMD and a basic config live so you can update your servers To be clear nothing will work until this step is completed. Next we will roll out our Modify Server Config tool with some of the difficult settings. Today will be a very basic iteration of everything. Our current issue is SteamCMD not allowing anonymous, typically game devs will open this up at launch (even Palworld devs said, so it must just be a bug) - this may throttle our ability to pull dedicated server files needed. Will keep the updates coming as we have them. For now hang tight, or try out single player in the mean time. All hosts will have this same issue. Thank you for your patience. 2. Hiya folks. We are seeing a lot of demand for this game. Ticket response will be slower. We ask for your patience and kindness to our staff during this time. We're working our butts off getting everyone situated and all machines performing optimally. Cheers and thank you for hosting with us! Also a heads up we are hiding posts that are account specific and grouping other posts by common topic to keep things tidy. Sorry if that is annoying, it just keeps things streamlined for us to help out better and keep community discussion topics going that are important.

  3. UPDATE: We are aware of the Modify Server Config tool not working correctly and are working to fix the tool. For now you can modify the \Pal\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\PalWorldSettings.ini file directly from FTP with the exact format here: ; This configuration file is a sample of the default server settings. ; Changes to this file will NOT be reflected on the server. ; To change the server settings, modify Pal/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/PalWorldSettings.ini. 5. We are working on that feature, a lot going on right now and we are working our fastest. The way this game is set up makes this feature slightly more time consuming to add but we'll get it done.

    Unacceptable

My server recently went down. I checked and saw there was staff intervention. Now it's back up and we've lost the last 10 or so hours and have a different IP. I know, I'm telling a familiar story for these forums, but I'm not here to complain. I'm here to offer constructive feedback. My personal experience up until now, I had no complaints. The server would stop here and there but I expected some technical hiccups given the under developed state of multiplayer on this game and it was easy enough to just start it again, at most a couple minutes were lost. Now we lost around 10 hours of progress and I have to communicate a new IP to all of my players. So we traded a very mild annoyance for a big pain point, purely due to this occurring without any communication or loss mitigation occurring. I started my server a couple days ago and read in these forums at the time that some sort of optimization was occurring with some servers which was causing this problem for some people. I started my server after this began and so I reasonably presumed my server would have been created with this already present. If it's such an urgent fix that warrants an “emergency” style fix being applied, surely new servers are being deployed with this integrated...right? Apparently not. I was in fact manually saving the server periodically, just in case, but it just so happened that this occurred for me shortly before I was about to start my day. So in that sense it was just unfortunate timing in terms of the actualized loss but the point however remains. The fix should have been integrated into new server deployment. Stopping the proverbial fire from spreading should be given top priority, otherwise you're just ensuring all your new customers become pissed off customers. Now what should have happened, is this should have been performed in a maintenance window and stakeholders like me should have been notified before hand. All of the pain points this has created for me could have been prevented simply by following basic change deployment standards. Had I been informed something to the effect of: “We'll be performing a migration on your server between X and Y time today. This will result in a change of IP. Game progress during this window may be lost.” I could have planned for this. I could have informed players. I could have gotten up an hour earlier to log on and do a manual save. Since it was a surprise though, I had no such opportunity. It's just loss and angry players that could have been prevented or at least mitigated. I'm not asking for an apology or compensation. I'm asking you to do better. All of these pissed off customers you have now, including me, it doesn't have to be this way and it's not hard to prevent. Simply organize your deployment and communicate with your customers. Develop a change management process. If you had a proper one in place, you wouldn't have 99% of these pissed off customers. This is my humble advice as a long time Survival Servers customer and an IT professional. I have long found your server performance to be good and your prices quite reasonable. I would very much like to continue using your service and recommending it to others. This however, has to change. You can't go flying by the seat of your pants when you're charging people for a service, it's not professional. Moreover, I hope you see that it is in your best interest as a business to do this. Quantify the time and expense caused by your unhappy customers and compare it to creating and following a proper change management standard. There's a reason this is the industry norm. Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope you will sincerely consider improving your process.

  10. To add mods on your DayZ Standalone server you will want to do the following: Switch your servers map type to "Custom" via the Game Server Control panel to enable the "Custom Launch Parameters" Upload all of the workshop mods you wish to use on the server via FTP to the base directory (Or add the id(s) of the mods to the Mod ID area on the panel to have the server download them for you) To activate the mods you will want to put -mod= followed by the mod you wish to activate For example -mod=@example;@mod;@folders Note: if you have mods with spaces in the name. Add " " around the -mod=@example;@mod;@folders part Example: "-mod=@example;@mod;@folders" It is important to note that if the workshop mod comes with a "Keys" folder you will need to add the file contained within that folder to your servers main "Keys" folder in the main file directory if not already there! Then click on the green "Save Settings and Restart Game Servers" button for the changes to take effect and for the mods to load! Once the server is fully booted up and shows started (You may need to refresh the page) head to: https://dayzsalauncher.com/#/servercheck and enter your servers ip:port number (change the last port number to an 8 and click check server. This will add your server to the dayzsa launcher and allow it to show the new mods you have added. To edit/upload/save/delete files via FTP, use the following method: Stop your server from the panel. Log in to FTP using WinSCP (a free FTP software) using the connection details found in the "FTP Details" section of the game server control panel. Download link for WinSCP here: http://winscp.net/eng/download.php Navigate to the directory you wish to upload or edit a file. After editing/uploading/deleting your files in the proper directories, start your server from the panel. If you run into any issues with this method please let us know and we can provide you with a price quote to have our staff install these mods for you

  12. I don't understand how to add " " around the -mod=@modname if there are spaces in between. This is the copy of my Launch Parameters. Please just tell me where " " goes with My Parameters. I've tried so many different ways. I know I'm doing something wrong. I left spaces where they are on the file name. My Parameters -mod=@CF;@MoreFood;@ZomBerry Admin Tools;@Unlimited Stamina This makes no sense to me if there are mods with spaces next too ones that don't have any. Example: "-mod=@example;@mod;@folders" If I use that example.. -mod=@CF;@MoreFood;"@ZomBerryAdminTools";"@UnlimitedStamina" Only shows 2 / 2 mods and not 4 / 4.

  14. You will not be able to host Valheim Plus until we officially support it.. that's a big IF we support it. It's extremely unstable and risky to allow customers to modify core files on a new game like this. We'll see what the direction of the community is over the next couple weeks but for now I would recommend running a VPS or dedicated server if you want to manipulate the game. I'd much rather integrate a modding platform like Umod or something that doesn't require a client side patch as well. So we're still at a wait and see here - sorry to disappoint but we have to be very careful. EDIT: Apparently you can upload Valheim Plus as instructed in this thread. Please be aware this is VERY unofficial and subject to change. We still do not recommend installing it at this time. EDIT2: We've released Valheim+ support

  21. Is anyone else noticing that their Pal Server crashes frequently during peak hours and often gets stuck in a loop where the server stops, and after restarting, it crashes again, taking multiple attempts to fix the loop? And on the off chance that you manage to get it running the issue occurs again every 30-60 minutes? Is this just a case of they are getting overloaded across the board and the only fix they are going to provide is to wait until the interest in the game dies down so they don't have to spend more money to deliver the service they are selling? I've yet to have a single full day where the server hasnt gone down, the uptime and reliability has been terrible overall.

  24. Greetings Survivors! Hope you are all enjoying Palworld, our team has complied a list of frequently asked questions! Below you can find these questions as well as answers to help you get your server up and running without having to wait for our support teams intervention! How do I direct connect to my server with a password enabled? Below you will find instructions on how to log into your password protected Palworld server! Currently searching for your server in the server browser is unreliable, we recommend using the direct connect option! Click "Join a Multiplayer Game" Enter your servers IP and Port into the direct connect box at the bottom of the server browser! If your server has a password, be sure to check the "Enter Password" box Click "Connect" you will be prompted to enter your servers password Click "Ok" to join your server! My server keeps randomly stopping? There are potentially a number of reasons for this. 1/ Our automated system is shutting down a number of game servers on a target machine if the CPU spikes too high We are working on getting this fixed right now and over the coming days will see less and less "intervention" stops. 2/ Palworld server crashing. This is fully expected for early access games. You can try to do a "Reinstall Server" from your game server panel and restore your data using the Backup/Restore method in the panel. To fully know and understand which case your game server falls under, please submit a support ticket. Why isn't my server showing in the server browser? The Palworld server browser is very limited at the moment and as a result finding your server in the server browser is next to impossible. The developers have stated the reason which you can see in the below image! source (view Q&A section) For now, the best way to connect is to use the direct connect box on the server list. Using this method, you will not be able to enter a password! How do I log in as admin? For Palworld admin the first thing you need to do is enter an admin password on your servers control panel! Below you can find steps on how to use the password in-game Once in game hit the enter key to pull up the text chat. Type in the chat /AdminPassword (do not add the <> brackets) Hit enter and you should now be logged in as admin. You are also able to run admin commands through the Rcon Does Palworld support RCON? Palworld does support Rcon! Below you will find a guide on how to download and connect to your server using the Download mcrcon Download Here. You can find more information about rcon here: https://survivalservers.com/wi... Your Rcon details are listed on your Control Panel. With the details listed on your panel launch the mcrcon bat file. Enter the ip first and hit enter, Then the port, and then the password. You are now logged into rcon using mcrcon. My Server Won't start? If you press the start button and the server fails to start, before sending in a support ticket try doing the following! Select "Yes, Run Update/Validate" option from the "Server Update" box Then Press the Green "Save Settings and Restart Game Server" Option Allow the update to install your server! My Server keeps crashing as soon as I start it? If your server is crashing very shortly after startup it could be an issue with the config file. One step you can take to address this issue without support intervention would be to re-save your Modify Server Config Tool You will want to open your "Modify Server Config" Tool that is located on your control panel. Once it is open, navigate to the bottom and press the orange "Save Configuration" button If the server continues to crash after select the "Reinstall Server Toggle" to reinstall your server After the server Reinstalls restore your save data from the backup list! If after all these steps the server still crashes, please submit a support ticket! Will this game support crossplay between Steam & Xbox versions? If so, when? This is one of the most anticipated feature requests for Palworld. We do have confirmation on their recent roadmap post that confirms there will be crossplay between Steam, Windows, and Xbox versions. We do not have an ETA as to when this will happen but keep checking back for your Palworld Xbox server hosting needs!

  26. UPDATE: Our modify server config tool has been fixed - you don't need to use FTP anymore.
    2 points
  27. My server won't start! It's likely becuase your server does not have the files. To pull files: 1/ Select "Yes, run update/validate" 2/ Click the Update and Restart green button at the bottom 3/ Please be patient if this doesn't work and try again after an hour or two. We might just be really busy or something else is awry

  28. We will add server files when they are made public. That's about as specific as an answer as I can give.
    2 points
  29. Yep you'd need to edit the ServerGameSettings.json file. Click the Quick FTP Settings button and you will see where to edit it in your favorite FTP client. We'll be adding this vars to our easier to use Modify Server Config tool in the coming days.

  33. Seeing as how my *Jeopardy music plays* comment was deleted, ill ask a legitimate question...... What is the ETA of whitelists, bans, admin, etc? We have heard a week, and next week about 2-3 weeks ago. I've also noticed that the staff on this forum have been avoiding questions pertaining to this issue. If you don't know say you don't know, or if you guys aren't planning to allow your customers to have control over these files let us know... Side note: I also see comments from staff getting edited, you know what I'm talking about.....

  34. Modify Valheim+ Config helper tool updated for Valheim+ to 0.9.5.5 settings.
    2 points
  35. Well they never even updated to 0.9.4 so IDK how fast 0.9.5 turnaround is expected to be, but that is kinda annoying. I wouldn't mind if I just had to reupload my saved .cfg to the server and restart it to fix the SS update, but having to go through the GUI to reset everything manually that way is a minor pain point for sure. And imagine someone logging in while inventory spaces aren't configured properly. Disastrous.
    2 points
  36. Worth noting once you install and remove dll and config you need to change mod back to no mod in control panel otherwise V+ will get reinstalled with every server restart. This works great for a working BepInEx server!
    2 points
  37. I admit that I had complications trying to install BepInEx by itself before. You can try this as a "workaround" through FTP: 1) Install Valheim Plus as you normally would 2) If you don't want to use V+, delete the valheim_plus.dll (plugins) and valheim_plus.cfg (config) 3) Install ServerSideMap.dll normally (you need this on both server and client if you weren't aware) This will give you a working BepInEx install without all the hassle.
    2 points
  38. Also to add a point of additional clarity we have yet to see what happens when Valheim is updated and how this mod will affect save data. So we're still at the very least waiting for the next server-side update to see what happens to servers that have heavily utilized the mod for server save assets and how that will impact on each update.

  39. If you are experiencing issues with finding your ARK PS4 server, make sure that the Session Filter drop-down value is set to "Unofficial PC Sessions". If you have a password on your server, make sure the Show Password Protected box is checked. You can find both of these at the bottom left portion of the server browser menu. If you are running a Primitive Plus server, make sure that you choose the game mode at the bottom right of the main ARK menu. You will be prompted to confirm a change in game mode. Do so and the game will reload. You will be able to find your server via the same method as before. If you are still experiencing issues finding your non-Primitive Plus server, make sure your game mode is set to ARK: Survival Evolved and then reload the game upon the prompt.

  40. There's no way at this time. It's hard-coded to 30 min save intervals and with game server hosting there is no way to soft save (every provider will have the same issue until they add RCON) UPDATE: This has been changed in subsequent Valheim updates. You can now type save in F5 menu as Admin to save on the fly.

  42. Hey all Capps here! Since the release of DayZ Standalone there have been some requests out there to enable server owners to keep the time of day on their server set to certain point. For example some may want their server to always remain in daylight and others might want eternal darkness. So with that, I've gone ahead and written a small server side script to do just that! Lets dive right into it! So that's great Capps, well what does this script do exactly? Great question, this script allows server owners to set a Start and End hour which their server will continuously loop through! The best example is that it will allow for the server to always remain day time or night time or anywhere in-between. The times that the server loops through is entirely up to the server owner! Okay enough already, tell us how to install this! The installation is rather simple as the script is entirely server side! You can read the in-depth installation instructions here! If you encounter any issues with the script please either post the issues/questions here or over on the Github page! -Capps

  43. We are rolling out server support right now. Will update this FAQ tomorrow morning with more information. For now you can do these steps to download server files on your pre-ordered server (new servers will auto download) 1. Select Yes, run update/validate from the Server Update select on the control panel 2. Click the green Save & Restart button 3. Any manual changes you need to make can be done via FTP on your /deadmatter/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/Game.ini or Engine.ini files. Variables that can be modified on the Game.ini can be found here with descriptions. Will also be rolling out admin/super admin support when that is available (currently not working it seems)

Hey DaddyPig105, That's exactly why a few of my friends and I started playing on private, aka password protected servers. I recently started my own server. If you want to add me as a friend on PS4, I will share some servers with you. The only issue you might have is on one server I play on, Loki (God of Mischief) will drop new players into to the Volcano in Ragnarok 1 time. He is the Admin of that server, other than that everything is cool. My Gamer Tag on PSN and Xbox is Slydog9696, add me and send me a message and then I'll send you info.
