I am not a Survival Servers staff member but.... Ark recently had an update. If you are not at least on 549.42 then try choosing the update option and restart server. After it comes back up, wait 5 minutes then refresh your browser. I have noticed many times that my server is up and ready but my browser needed to be refreshed because it still showed loading.

I am made a lot of changes to my server since my last post including the names of the servers. Is there a character maximum or line maximum for the Game.ini file? I asked because I am wondering if I have reached the max. I am copying code and pasting it into the Game.ini file window and after I save and then reopen in, the code I added is no longer there. Note: I have successfully added several several lines of code. Everything from Engram unlocks to Harvest modifiers successfully. Now I am trying to add Loot Drops. All the code (including the successful code as well) has been mostly done by and outside program and copied and pasted into the ini and worked until now. Hence why I think I may have found some max limit or something. PS: I didn't create a ticket yet because I figured this would be good information for everyone to know if there is a max character or line set for the file.

Hi, I have two servers that recently went online. I need some people to play on the servers and then give me feedback on how everything is setup. They are boosted with modified drops as well as other modified settings. All Engrams have to be unlocked but I have changed the requirements to unlock. TEK unlocks at level 90. The servers are password protected but at this point I just want players and feedback so feel free to give the password out to your friends. The servers are PVP and are on Ragnarok and Valguero maps. Yeah... I probably should have worded it EnableCheats "admin pass" which is what I am trying. Or should I have been using EnableCheats "lock password" since I already had gained Admin command?

Hey guys, I have learned that if you make changes in the .ini files manually, they are not saved into the config tool. So if you then go back and use the config tools, everything is wiped because it was never stored in the config tool. There is actually a statement at the top when you manually edit an .ini that tells you the settings will not be saved in the config tool. If you are going to bounce back ad forth from using Advanced User Tools to Basic User Tools that you keep a copy of all your code in .txt file so that you ca just copy and paste it back in after using the tool.

To my knowledge, Splitscreen Multiplayer is only available in the Ark game through Local play because that is the way the game (not the server) is programmed. While in single player on Local, the second player presses 'options' button to join.

Hey DaddyPig105, That's exactly why a few of my friends and I started playing on private, aka password protected servers. I recently started my own server. If you want to add me as a friend on PS4, I will share some servers with you. The only issue you might have is on one server I play on, Loki (God of Mischief) will drop new players into to the Volcano in Ragnarok 1 time. He is the Admin of that server, other than that everything is cool. My Gamer Tag on PSN and Xbox is Slydog9696, add me and send me a message and then I'll send you info.

I have seen this issue many times in the past on servers AND local play. My problem was that my playstation wasn't well ventilated and my playstation was getting too hot. I have also had friends that had this issue and their problem was that they were running the game on a CD and the disc was getting too hot. Also, if your TV can't full support the fast frames per second coming from the Playstation you will have a similar issue. While the most common issue is ping (latency), there are several other issues (more than I mentioned) that can cause the same experience that you are having. If you both have been on multiple servers and still have the same issue, then I would definitely look into some of the other most common issues.

I have a question related to this topic.... I have already successfully requested admin on the server. However, I have not been able to get any commands to work that I have tried. I have tried commands that I know work in Local game play admin to see if they work on server but have not been successful. After requesting admin, I then put in "EnableCheats serverpassword" then clicked on Admin Command Then I tried "AdminCheat Fly" clicked Admin command but didn't work. Then I tried "gfi wood 100 0 0" clicked Admin command but didn't work. Then I tried "AdminCheat GiveEngrams" clicked Admin command but didn't work. Before each unsuccessful try, I did retype the EnableCheats serverpassword again. Basically, I'm wanting to make sure that all Admin commands work for the instance when I want to return something to someone that they lost due to a lag from their internet connection.

The best way I know how to explain Affinity is that it is a percentage of how well you tamed the dino. If your taming effectiveness was in the high 90s then that is good. So, if the taming is 98%, and your Affinity multiplier is set to 5, then I think it's 5 times the 98% added to the highest it could be before Affinity is applied. I think I might not have that 100% correct. I have been playing local game play and playing with those same local settings for about 4 years and online on others servers for 1 year but I recently decided to host a server myself. I have learned real quick that the local settings that I have on my PS4 are not the same as on the Server. The first thing I did on my server was mimic the exact settings I had on local play for my server. I noticed with everything set to exactly the same settings as my local that the game play was totally different in several aspects. Anyways I was trying to help since I noticed no one posted.
