Ryan Pennington reacted to samsso in Can't whitelist admins.
Just did some testing. It works correctly if you put the AllowedCheaterSteamIDs.txt in ShooterGame/Saved. Just drop it in there with the correct steam IDs and it works fine.

Ryan Pennington got a reaction from Mystikal in Adding yourself as admin with Rocket for Unturned server
THIS IS NOW OUTDATED - USE THE ADMIN DROP DOWN INSTEAD!
You can use FTP to do this. Here's a nice guide on how to connect to your game server via FTP.
Make sure your server is Steam updated to the latest version Make sure your Rocket is the latest version Make sure you have already joined the server and wait 2 minutes (walk around, hit some zombies) Stop your server from the Survival Servers control panel Using your FTP client, login Navigate to the following directory - /Servers/Server/Rocket/ Right-click the Permissions.config.xml file and edit it Here you can replace your GUID in this line - <Member>76561197966093888</Member> Replace the 76561197966093888 number with your Steam ID. You can use this website to find your steam ID. ADVANCED USERS: You can configure allowable commands, add more admins, etc to this file. Make sure your utilizing valid XML schema syntax. If you need help, feel free to post in this thread Start your server Join your server and type something in chat. Your name and chat message should be highlighted in yellow (if you have color.yellow set as a command that is) -

This is an outdated guide, it will be updated soon.

Ryan Pennington reacted to Gingerale in ARK not updating properly to the latest version?
I agree it is frustrating, however this is an early access title. Problems are bound to arise. That is what the support ticket system is for. If you have a problem with the way things are, perhaps you should build your own server platform, or wait until the official release.

Ryan Pennington got a reaction from Hunter in No server showing in control panel
We are working on this right now, apologies for the delay in setup.

No problem. Just trying to keep things organized around here for customers to quickly find helpful information on the issue they are having!

Ryan Pennington got a reaction from razgriz in Ark Server FTP does not save (Game.ini and GameUserSettings.ini)
We're not overly busy right now, our support ticket response time is normal.
The issue is related to your custom launch params overwriting your .ini files. If you are using both they will not play along very well.

Issue was fixed after 0.3.1.0. Unsure of the initial cause, but it works now. Thanks.

Ryan Pennington reacted to atatsu in Update on roll back issue - 10/16 - **FIXED**
Just letting you know your file lock fix appears to be working. Earlier this morning I checked the state of my server and the `TheIsland.tmp` file was present and the `TheIsland.ark` file hadn't been modified since 7/29. I backed up the tmp file just in case.
Fast forward to now and the v191 udpate and the tmp file was gone, and I updated the server to v191 successfully.

Yea, I wasn't blaming you guys for it. It was our choice to try it, however I figured as much that the map was broken. I returned back to the basic map. Thank you for trying.

Ryan Pennington reacted to Bilco in Admin on rust experimental
As far as I know, the F1 commands do not work anymore. If you need to admin your server, I suggest the Rusty RCON tool. Once you have it downloaded you click on settings and put in your server credentials there. Remember that your RCON port is +1 from your game port.

Ryan Pennington reacted to TopArkServers in TopArkServers.com - online server listings
Feb 9, 2016 edit - this method is no longer a viable way of connecting to servers after the implementation of BattlEye steam://connect commands no longer work.
We are #1 ARK server ranking site where you can vote, comment, view current players and check server stats for just about every ARK server that exist.
We also provide community tools, ARK news, ARK guides and much more.
http://toparkservers.com
What we offer you
- Voting System ( Our voting system allows players to vote or dislike a server)
- Comments ( Have your members comment and let others know how great your server is)
- Find ARK Servers ( Finding an ARK server is easy, simply search by server name, IP, Map. You can even search offline servers)
- Stats ( We provide stats for every server in our database)
- Sponsor Features ( All servers have the option to be sponsored and anyone can sponsor a server! If you have a community, just a few dollars can get you sponsored and displayed on the front page of our site)
- Professional Staff ( Our staff is online anytime you need help )
- Weekly Random Sponsors ( Members who have a claimed server are automatically added to our random sponsor database. Kinda like a lottery except it's really random =)
- Free ARK server giveaways ( Follow us on Twitter for more info, we already gave a 1 year - 100man ARK server away)
- Link Exchange (Partnering with us is easy)
Claiming a server
Before claiming a server you must first create an account with us. Once you have created an account you will have access to server claiming options in "My Account". To claim a server you must use your IP address and the " QUERY PORT " number. Example : 127.0.0.1:27015 , the query port is usually +1 digit to the last number in your port. So to claim your server, you would use the following 127.0.0.1:27016 <------ We added +1 to the orginal port.
Stop waiting around and claim your server today!

Ryan Pennington reacted to Kilk in Sever Command Lines in Notepad++
Hello,
I have decided to share with everyone a Notepad attachment of the "GameUserSettings" (Open with Notepad++ to make things easier on yourself since you will need to save the file as a MS ini file for it to work with your sever). Inside is every sever command that I could put together and what those lines do from a "=True" prospective with comments (Every line that begins with a '//' will need to be deleted for it to work). I noticed some of the codes from the Steam Guide where typed incorrectly plus it was very confusing. Please note: Your sever will already have some of these command lines in place. This file comes with both the command lines your sever already has plus a couple more that can be added to configure your sever more. If your sever is exactly the way you want it then disregard this post.
FTP: You will need to have a FTP software such as FileZilla Client to connect to your sever files. When doing so ensure your sever is stopped before making any changes.
Credit: I take no credit for this. I just simply looked all over the internet for different command line codes and used the Steam Guide for a definition.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage done to your sever. Be sure to make backups of your "GameUserSettings.ini" file in a separate location before proceeding to change them. The command lines belong under "Sever Settings" do not edit any commands under the other categories expect for "Message of The Day".
P.S.: You guys are welcome to make suggestions or tell me if I made an error. This took a lot of trial, error, and research to complete. I know the Notepadd++ file is a little messy; you are welcome to make it look nicer and send me an attachment.
Respects,
Kilk
~The Forbidden Lands Team
Update: GameUserSettings.txt has been updated due to an error in my auto correct. I apologize for the inconvenience. However because the word "server" was spelled "sever" the game would look over the code and set it to its regular defaults.
