  1. Hiya folks. We are seeing a lot of demand for this game. Ticket response will be slower. We ask for your patience and kindness to our staff during this time. We're working our butts off getting everyone situated and all machines performing optimally. Cheers and thank you for hosting with us! Also a heads up we are hiding posts that are account specific and grouping other posts by common topic to keep things tidy. Sorry if that is annoying, it just keeps things streamlined for us to help out better and keep community discussion topics going that are important.

  3. We are working on that feature, a lot going on right now and we are working our fastest. The way this game is set up makes this feature slightly more time consuming to add but we'll get it done.

  4. Anyone else have issues with their server just stopping itself, all the time? Does it time out if there is no activity? My Valheim server seems to have to be restarted constantly.

  6. To add mods on your DayZ Standalone server you will want to do the following: Switch your servers map type to "Custom" via the Game Server Control panel to enable the "Custom Launch Parameters" Upload all of the workshop mods you wish to use on the server via FTP to the base directory (Or add the id(s) of the mods to the Mod ID area on the panel to have the server download them for you) To activate the mods you will want to put -mod= followed by the mod you wish to activate For example -mod=@example;@mod;@folders Note: if you have mods with spaces in the name. Add " " around the -mod=@example;@mod;@folders part Example: "-mod=@example;@mod;@folders" It is important to note that if the workshop mod comes with a "Keys" folder you will need to add the file contained within that folder to your servers main "Keys" folder in the main file directory if not already there! Then click on the green "Save Settings and Restart Game Servers" button for the changes to take effect and for the mods to load! Once the server is fully booted up and shows started (You may need to refresh the page) head to: https://dayzsalauncher.com/#/servercheck and enter your servers ip:port number (change the last port number to an 8 and click check server. This will add your server to the dayzsa launcher and allow it to show the new mods you have added. To edit/upload/save/delete files via FTP, use the following method: Stop your server from the panel. Log in to FTP using WinSCP (a free FTP software) using the connection details found in the "FTP Details" section of the game server control panel. Download link for WinSCP here: http://winscp.net/eng/download.php Navigate to the directory you wish to upload or edit a file. After editing/uploading/deleting your files in the proper directories, start your server from the panel. If you run into any issues with this method please let us know and we can provide you with a price quote to have our staff install these mods for you

  8. You will not be able to host Valheim Plus until we officially support it.. that's a big IF we support it. It's extremely unstable and risky to allow customers to modify core files on a new game like this. We'll see what the direction of the community is over the next couple weeks but for now I would recommend running a VPS or dedicated server if you want to manipulate the game. I'd much rather integrate a modding platform like Umod or something that doesn't require a client side patch as well. So we're still at a wait and see here - sorry to disappoint but we have to be very careful. EDIT: Apparently you can upload Valheim Plus as instructed in this thread. Please be aware this is VERY unofficial and subject to change. We still do not recommend installing it at this time. EDIT2: We've released Valheim+ support

It will be an option in the map drop down list as soon as we get it added!

  12. I don't understand how to add " " around the -mod=@modname if there are spaces in between. This is the copy of my Launch Parameters. Please just tell me where " " goes with My Parameters. I've tried so many different ways. I know I'm doing something wrong. I left spaces where they are on the file name. My Parameters -mod=@CF;@MoreFood;@ZomBerry Admin Tools;@Unlimited Stamina This makes no sense to me if there are mods with spaces next too ones that don't have any. Example: "-mod=@example;@mod;@folders" If I use that example.. -mod=@CF;@MoreFood;"@ZomBerryAdminTools";"@UnlimitedStamina" Only shows 2 / 2 mods and not 4 / 4.

  13. Hello community Im a new SCUM server owner in here nice to meet you all. I was rent SCUM server from another provider(N) before, they backend setting for SCUM is nice can access all thing I need(exclusiveuser, adminlog, killlog etc)*see in image attachment* but they have rollback problem so I move to here. This server smoother and like better performance I loved this. But I cannot access ini file(can access only serversetting.ini) So If possible can admin/dev integrate this to survivalserver backend. Its will be nice for renter very much Thanks ps. Sorry for my bad english

  16. Seeing as how my *Jeopardy music plays* comment was deleted, ill ask a legitimate question...... What is the ETA of whitelists, bans, admin, etc? We have heard a week, and next week about 2-3 weeks ago. I've also noticed that the staff on this forum have been avoiding questions pertaining to this issue. If you don't know say you don't know, or if you guys aren't planning to allow your customers to have control over these files let us know... Side note: I also see comments from staff getting edited, you know what I'm talking about.....

  17. Thank you for clarifying! That's perfect. After reading some posts I thought it just automatically overwrote everyone's config file once updated. I was missing this part.

  18. Modify Valheim+ Config helper tool updated for Valheim+ to 0.9.5.5 settings.
    2 points
  19. Well they never even updated to 0.9.4 so IDK how fast 0.9.5 turnaround is expected to be, but that is kinda annoying. I wouldn't mind if I just had to reupload my saved .cfg to the server and restart it to fix the SS update, but having to go through the GUI to reset everything manually that way is a minor pain point for sure. And imagine someone logging in while inventory spaces aren't configured properly. Disastrous.

  20. Should be fixed now. We have an automated check for the latest version and it had a slight issue which is now fixed.

  21. Worth noting once you install and remove dll and config you need to change mod back to no mod in control panel otherwise V+ will get reinstalled with every server restart. This works great for a working BepInEx server!
    2 points
  22. I admit that I had complications trying to install BepInEx by itself before. You can try this as a "workaround" through FTP: 1) Install Valheim Plus as you normally would 2) If you don't want to use V+, delete the valheim_plus.dll (plugins) and valheim_plus.cfg (config) 3) Install ServerSideMap.dll normally (you need this on both server and client if you weren't aware) This will give you a working BepInEx install without all the hassle.

  23. I purchased a server yesterday and it won't start. I would like some assistance at least getting it started please. I believe I have filled in every field and have hit restart 3 times and start multiple times but still nothing. It just says stopped. FIXED, THANKS

  24. Also to add a point of additional clarity we have yet to see what happens when Valheim is updated and how this mod will affect save data. So we're still at the very least waiting for the next server-side update to see what happens to servers that have heavily utilized the mod for server save assets and how that will impact on each update.

    How to export world?

The 126076.db and .fwl are symbolic links to the world files. Even tho they are 0 bytes you should be able to pull them via ftp and get the actual files. Edit: Removed the part about renaming the world files because it might break the world

  28. If you are experiencing issues with finding your ARK PS4 server, make sure that the Session Filter drop-down value is set to "Unofficial PC Sessions". If you have a password on your server, make sure the Show Password Protected box is checked. You can find both of these at the bottom left portion of the server browser menu. If you are running a Primitive Plus server, make sure that you choose the game mode at the bottom right of the main ARK menu. You will be prompted to confirm a change in game mode. Do so and the game will reload. You will be able to find your server via the same method as before. If you are still experiencing issues finding your non-Primitive Plus server, make sure your game mode is set to ARK: Survival Evolved and then reload the game upon the prompt.

  29. *Update* Learn from my mistake! The lock password is the one to use not the FTP password. I was thinking lock password was like an admin function to lock the server. First time server purchaser here haha!

  30. There's no way at this time. It's hard-coded to 30 min save intervals and with game server hosting there is no way to soft save (every provider will have the same issue until they add RCON) UPDATE: This has been changed in subsequent Valheim updates. You can now type save in F5 menu as Admin to save on the fly.

  32. Hey all Capps here! Since the release of DayZ Standalone there have been some requests out there to enable server owners to keep the time of day on their server set to certain point. For example some may want their server to always remain in daylight and others might want eternal darkness. So with that, I've gone ahead and written a small server side script to do just that! Lets dive right into it! So that's great Capps, well what does this script do exactly? Great question, this script allows server owners to set a Start and End hour which their server will continuously loop through! The best example is that it will allow for the server to always remain day time or night time or anywhere in-between. The times that the server loops through is entirely up to the server owner! Okay enough already, tell us how to install this! The installation is rather simple as the script is entirely server side! You can read the in-depth installation instructions here! If you encounter any issues with the script please either post the issues/questions here or over on the Github page! -Capps

  33. With the patch for DayZ Standalone today to version 1.09 please be aware that most if not all current mods will need to be updated! Like with all patches, most of the mods that have been released will need to be updated before your server will function properly again. Currently if you have mods on your server that are out of date and broken, after you update the server to 1.09 it will appear to be stuck in a "Loading Phase". To narrow down the out of date mods please refer to your servers RPT files! Being the patch was just released a few hours ago its not likely that every single mod has been updated. A quick fix for servers with mods that haven't been updated is to simply remove the mods from your launch line until the mods are updated by their developers, at which point you can upload the updated mod back to the server and re-add it to your custom launch parameter! Once the mods you use have been updated feel free to upload them to your server via FTP and the server should begin to function again! Please keep an eye on the workshop pages for the mods you run on your server, these pages will be the best source of information as to what issues the mods are having and when they have been updated! Respectfully, Capps If you are running into any other difficulties, as always please submit a support ticket so we can take a look!

  35. We are rolling out server support right now. Will update this FAQ tomorrow morning with more information. For now you can do these steps to download server files on your pre-ordered server (new servers will auto download) 1. Select Yes, run update/validate from the Server Update select on the control panel 2. Click the green Save & Restart button 3. Any manual changes you need to make can be done via FTP on your /deadmatter/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/Game.ini or Engine.ini files. Variables that can be modified on the Game.ini can be found here with descriptions. Will also be rolling out admin/super admin support when that is available (currently not working it seems)

    Pointless game

Hey DaddyPig105, That's exactly why a few of my friends and I started playing on private, aka password protected servers. I recently started my own server. If you want to add me as a friend on PS4, I will share some servers with you. The only issue you might have is on one server I play on, Loki (God of Mischief) will drop new players into to the Volcano in Ragnarok 1 time. He is the Admin of that server, other than that everything is cool. My Gamer Tag on PSN and Xbox is Slydog9696, add me and send me a message and then I'll send you info.

  39. I am running 2 servers with custom maps. It is fairly simple to upload map to drop box, check custom launch parameters, then add the +levelurl "dropbox link to map" in the launch parameters line.. Leave the "" off in launch parameters line.

  40. If you are using an edited serverDZ.cfg file you will want to upload it to the admin folder when the server is stopped via FTP! Then make sure to use the "Skip Save Config" toggle whenever you start the server to avoid overriding the config.

  42. Ahh ok! Thanks for the info, I submitted a ticket for an upgrade request, I’m not sure if you can address it or not. It’s ticket #977142! EDIT: My ticket got picked up already! I appreciate your info on that, it helped a lot. EDIT 2: Ryan, I'm sure you know this already, but the team here is amazing. They picked up my ticket fast, and even bumped my server size up to test without charging me just so I could make sure it would work. There's a reason why I consistently always come back to you guys for my server needs whether it be for Minecraft or Ark.

  43. FTP - File Transfer Protocol, a way to transfer files from you computer to a server (in this case your ARK server) and vice versa. There are a lot of FTP programs out there, but I'll be doing a step-by-step on how to Quickconnect through a free and open source program called FileZilla. Download. Install. Connect. 1.) First things first! Download the FileZilla client (<--click) for your system and install it. 2.) Run FileZilla. The first thing you might see is blanks for Host, Username, and Password. Log into your Survival Servers control panel if you aren't already. You'll need to plug in the information from "FTP Details." 3.) Plug in the IP where it says "Host:", your FTP username for "Username:", and password in "Password:". You can leave "Port:" blank since 21 is already recognized as the default. However, you can still put the number in there if you want...it won't hurt anything. Click Quickconnect! 4.) If you have successfully connected to your server, you'll get a message in the Status box reading "Directory listing of '/' successful." If you have any errors, fix where the error is (bad IP, username, or password). It's recommended NOT to copy and paste any information (especially passwords!) since you can accidentally copy spaces and spaces are evil. If you're still getting errors, I'd put in a ticket to see what's going on. Any time you want to connect to your server after this session, you can just click on the down arrow next to 'Quickconnect' and there's an option for your server so you don't have to re-fill all this information again. Destination Setup. Transferring Files. Remote File Editing. 1.) In the middle of the application you should see two split windows. One says "Local site:". This is your own PC directory, which you can browse through just like Windows Explorer. The other says "Remote site:". This is your ARK server, which you can also browse through. If you need to get into a folder, just click the "+" plus sign next to it or double-click the name of the folder. If the folder has a "?" question mark on it, your PC just doesn't know what's inside. Just clicking on a folder once will reveal its contents in the "Filename" directory box below it. 2.) If you need to transfer files from your PC to the server, you first need to ensure the Remote Site destination is set first. For example, if I need to upload a local file into the Maps folder under /ShooterGame/Content/, I should have it set like this: 3.) Likewise, if I need to transfer a file from the server to my PC, I need to ensure the Local Site destination is set. For example, if I'm going to download a server file to my ARK folder on my desktop it needs to look like this: 4.) As long as the destination of where you need the file to go is set up correctly, you won't run into any problems. If it's not properly setup, you will accidentally upload/download files to the wrong place. Let's say I need to upload my local copy of "ShooterEntry.umap" into the Maps folder and have my remote site setup. I need to find the file under Local Site, right-click it and select "Upload." You should see the file pop up under the Transfer Queue, which is that giant blank space, and start uploading from your PC to the actual server. 5.) If you're transferring a file to a directory that has the same file name, it will pop up a big prompt of what you want to do about the situation. Usually, you just want to OVERWRITE the file. So make sure that option is selected and click "OK." 6.) Lastly, we'll briefly go over how to modify files from your server! I wouldn't really recommend doing this unless you absolutely know what you're doing, especially since this game is brand new and early access. Find the file you need to modify in the server by browsing in the Remote Site, right-click on it, and select "View/Edit." This will open the file in the default program you selected, usually Notepad (or Notepad++ if you deal with code or just prefer it). 7.) After you're done with the file REMEMBER TO SAVE IT! From here, you can close out the file and you'll get a prompt that the file has changed. Always check mark the option to "Finish editing and delete local file" and click "Yes" because it will upload the saved changes automatically to the server. ...And that's it! Now you know some of the basics of FTP. Any changes or any files added to the server, you have to restart the server in order for the changes/new files to take effect. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Either I or someone with better knowledge will help you. Please let me know if the guide helped at all, I'd appreciate the feedback! Troubleshooting - Constant connection timeouts: Edit -> Settings -> Timeout in seconds -> Change this value to something higher
