I'm really sorry to hear it Wilhelm, I'm currently testing out that change myself, so we'll see here in about a week if everything goes poof yet again. =\
I'm very sorry the method I first suggested didn't work properly for folks. This is still a very new game and everyone is having to learn all of its differences from ARK, so many of the ARK fixes simply don't work for DNL. Trial and error, hopefully we can get more trials than errors though!
Thank you all so much for all of the feedback though, as this is a very major issue for many people with servers that have players that can't play every day.
This community feedback is what we all need to help each other keep our players interested and having fun, so keep it coming in all of the proper channels!

I do believe this is indeed possible, using a bit of file renaming magic. There should be a topic on this started here already, though in reverse, I'll see if I can find it for ya.

A commonly noticed issue is setting the port to the game port rather than the RCON port listed. So make sure you're using the RCON port.
Also, sometimes copy/pasting your password from the control panel can cause issues, so try typing it out directly instead.
Also, always ensure you are using the most up to date version of the ARKON tool, by opening the program with the updater rather than the executable.
It may error, but it still works more often that way than not.

New Server Warhaven [pvp/rp] This is a PVP server with some boosts. Including xp boost, taming speed boost, and harvest boost. This PVP server is also an RP server and requires RP before PVP. It is simple. We want to build a strong community in which the players are friends and PVP not just to be jerks or tick other people off. So here are our rules.

1: No offline raiding. Players must be on when you raid.

2: RP before a raid. Example: Thordon a dwarf lands on the property of an Elf; Lixnir, who has moved into dwarf territory. He gives Lixnir 24 hours to leave the said property or be wiped off the face of the planet. (Of course this would be roleplayed) After the role play it is mentioned in world chat that there was an ultimatum between the two. Now in 24 hours if Lixnir is still there he can expect he is going to be raided so hopefully he brought backup. (We want our players to raid and have fun with PVP but it is no fun if when you log in every day you have to retame and rebuild your house.

3: World text chat is always Out of Character.

4: Local voice chat is always in character (unless talking to an admin about game issues or events)

5: Have fun and be courteous.

I'm not sure on that one. I suppose there was a bit of confusion on my part there.
I have our server difficulty set to 1.25, if there is a separate "Difficulty Override" other than the normal difficulty setting, I wasn't aware.
Each 0.25 you change the difficulty seems increase the max level of creatures by 30 levels, as 120 is the base for 1.0.
From there, you will have to brain out the math on it, but I suppose if you want level 300 creatures for instance, you would use difficulty 2.5 based on that 0.25 / 30 level ratio.
I believe the ratio additionally comes out to 6 levels increased per 0.1 change, or 3 levels per 0.05 change in difficulty, in case that helps any for fine tuning.

Everything regarding changing stat progression seems to work well also.
So I personally would say that you can safely edit the PerLevelStatsMultipliers.
 
But just as a disclaimer, I am only a moderator, and do not speak for Survival Servers regarding technical support issues.
But with that in mind, it worked for me, and seems to be working for others, so more than likely we'll have those features built into our modify server config soon to make it easy on everyone.

I have to concur on that, and have just tested the basic XP, Taming and Harvest settings changes via GameUserSettings.ini with success using that particular method.
Haven't gotten to the point where I need to drop points into either of the two stats I modified via Game.ini yet, but will check it later this evening and let relay what I've learned.

I'm sorry, to clarify, I believe Ryan was seeing if you could screenshot the "Modify Server Config" tab that you were saying was empty.
That could certainly indicate a misaligned link between your server and the MSC tool.

Yeah, I can't wait till there's more information out there for the game, including the full item and creature databases. It's getting there though!

Our community has Very Active Admins, an Active Discord channel, which you can get the information for from within any of our games (We don't post our discord outside of game)
 
We also have a YouTube channel that is currently in the process of expanding with additional YouTubers within our community. Because of this YouTube channel, and the potential for Streaming on our server, I do like to point this out as your character names and possibly steam names may be displayed in our Videos and streams(Your Steam Name is displayed in game above your character in some games,) so we want people to be aware of this ahead of time.
 
Our rates for all servers stay close to vanilla, however rates that we consider unreasonable (Like Taming in ARK) have been increased a bit.
 
Rates on our servers are as follows.
 
Conan - 1.5x XP
 
ARK - 1.5x XP, 3x Taming, Boosted Breeding (Rates not listed as there's too many minor changes), and several Engram changes to reduce early costs for aesthetic items and prerequisite items that don't otherwise get used beyond that prereq.
 
D&L - 1 Vanilla server, and 1 with boosted rates, though we are looking at changing Taming slightly once major updates level out a little, as the game is still a bit too new to make major changes without establishing the baseline properly.
 
It should be noted that we are very much a Community, and our servers all are PvE because of this. We chat about our lives in Discord, and just generally consider everyone in the community to be friends. We are a large community with a small community mindset in that regard.
 
Our servers are nearly 100% crowd funded, so our community must think we're doing something right. =)

I'm not sure if it requires the "admincheat" prefix or not though, as you can totally just use the "cheat manger<sic>" in your admin manager tool in game lol

first, open your console > then type in "enablecheats <your password>" no brackets... (use the password you set up in your Survival Servers panel, default: "changeme") > then to see your admin manager, reopen the console and type "showmyadminmanager" ...
 
For specific commands such as setting the time of day, use in the console and type in "admincheat settimeofday ##:##"
For example, to change it to 5:30am in game, open the console and type; "admincheat settimeofday 05:30", or for 3:45pm, "admincheat settimeofday 15:45", as the game uses 24hr time.
If you have a player that has accidentally left their clan and wants their tames back, you would use "admincheat givetome" to give you the tame, then just unclaim it as normal.

Custom Panels
 
Custom panels for BOTH GameUserSettings.ini AND Game.ini additions in the Server Settings window, similar to how there is a GameUserSettings.ini already in place for ARK.
 
This would obviously be for advanced users and should be noted as such, but we Really need it to eliminate all of the hassle of having to FTP so much if it could be done. Perhaps have it greyed out, and only "Unlock" while the server is currently offline.
This would additionally help bridge the gap for those that aren't familiar with using things like WinSCP or the such and would really set the already high reputation SS has for it's custom Control Panel that much higher for taking the FTP out of the equation. (Would really like it on the ARK servers too btw)
 
The question is though, can it even be done?
 
Message of the Day / Broadcast
 
We Really need a separate MotD box, right at the top, front and center for servers.
The MotD is an Admins 2 way window to their player-base and ensures the players (If used properly) that the admins are active, even if they don't see them in game often. Adding the MotD window to the front end of the SS Admin panel would be even better than having it tucked away in the Server Settings, especially as there are (kinda broken) in game commands to change the MotD. Which leads me to believe that it may well be possible to create functionality that allows it to be changed here without having to restart the server to do so.
 
Additionally, having a function that performs a system broadcast message from this same location would be of tremendous help in the event an Admin needs to take the server down for unexpected maintenance. Such prime examples are if there has been a server update, and the admin's own client has been updated and thus can not log into game to advise players of the impending downtime for the update for those still online from before the patch was released.
 
This could even be done with say a button that begins a broadcast cycle similar to your ARK daily restart notification, where it gives a 10, 5 and 2 minute warning before the restart, but manually triggered by an Admin needing to do an update so that players stuck waiting for the server to update can log in sooner rather than waiting for the daily restart to update the server to current.
 
One note for this one, to prevent it from being accidentally used by multiple admins / sub users, lock it after it's been used initially, so that it can't be used again until after it's cycle has completed.
 
Performance Warning
 
This is something we've noticed with our ARK server, and perhaps I should just post a ticket for it as well, but to ensure it doesn't affect D&L, I figured I'd put it here too.
 
When changing engram costs in the ARK panel to custom settings, it causes the Engram page on ARK to lag HORRIBLY in game, so I just wanted to make sure such things are thoroughly tested for such if you do add in the ability to modify skill rates or change level requirements for the D&L skills.

Scheduled Broadcasts via Control Panel Tool (New)
 
The ability to add + one or more entry boxes that generate a repeating Broadcast message within game, with time ranges similar to how an ARKON scripted admincheat broadcast can be set up, so that those of us with multiple servers do not need multiple installs of ARKON in order to broadcast daily or even hourly announcements.
This is a feature request that was previously made for ARK, and with 4 servers between ARK and D&L, it would take 4 separate installs of ARKON in order to have all running the broadcast script at once. As the RCON implementation is there, this "should" be doable, and could help those with issues with Cluster servers on ARK, or that otherwise can't have that many instances of ARKON running at once with keeping people informed of things like automated restarts 20 minutes before that restart, specialized PvP / PvE rulesets for servers or Discord links every hour, or the such.
 
Save World (New)
 
A Control Panel button that runs the World Save script would be immensely helpful for admins that for whatever reasons can not get into game to do so. Once a client has been updated, if the server has not yet been updated, that admin would no longer be able to log into game to inform people of an impending server update, or otherwise use the console without access to an RCON tool, whereas they can log in to the SS Control Panel even via many mobile devices.

While it's made by the same company essentially, and the games are similar and use the same engine, there are still very much differences between.
Some settings for ARK will indeed work for D&L, but others are very much hit and miss. There is not yet a complete concrete list of settings that for sure all translate between the two games. Just remember, test at your own risk, but with some patience, we'll soon have a legit list of working settings built into the Survival Servers server settings menu, cause they're good like that.

I'll chime in with what I've heard directly.
The settings are Very much similar to ARK, however it is completely hit or miss on which settings do actually translate between games. Thus there is not a concrete list of ARK settings that work within D&L at this time, but our host is working hard at testing to find the ones that do indeed work, and will hook us up ASAP! Have faith Padawan, the force is strong with these ones. =)
