    Good evening folks!
Phew, it's been a while since we've been hyped up for an Early Access launch. This one looks big! Valheim definitely caught us off guard so I'd like to drop some notes below from some of the previous launches we've been part of and what you can expect from your Survival Servers game server on that first week. Of course, we'll drop any important information in our "pinned" notices at the top of your V Rising game server page.

Here's what you can expect on launch day -
    Will this game be clunky/laggy?
It appears that they've tested this one pretty well, but time will tell. Fortunately they have another PvP game (Battlerite) and have a lot of experience running game servers.
Joining the server - how do we get in?
There is a server browser. You will find your server by the name.
We have a page ready for launch day on our Wiki, you can check here for potentially more updated information -
    https://survivalservers.com/wiki/index.php?title=How_to_Join_a_V_Rising_Server
Is data transferrable from PC to game server?
We cannot be certain but it does look similar to Valheim where the locally hosted world is the same file and can be transferred over.
What are the max number of players?
The recommendation set by Stunlock from the V Rising Q&A is that the game supports up to 40 players
    Are there wipes?
It does not look like there are programmed wipes in the game as progression is PvE backed. For PvP servers, we will be providing a wipe option that can be manually ran per usual like our other game server offerings.
    What time is launch?
5 am PST on May 17th.
How will the DLC be activated on servers and can you play with other non-DLC players on your server?
We don't really know the answer to this question but if they are cosmetic items I would imagine they'd be tied to your character and it would function like Rust items.

    The throne awaits..

Are there no New York servers available? Was trying to preorder a server and I couldn't select it from the drop down.

    Please create a support ticket.
Occasionally our automated game server creation does not complete and we must manually set up your game server.
I do apologize for this inconvenience.
To keep the forums clean, we will be moving posts to this thread or deleting them if they are related to this issue.

I am afraid this is not possible at this time, but you may want to look into some API plugins. Some for example can show you the player list in chat.

There's no way at this time. It's hard-coded to 30 min save intervals and with game server hosting there is no way to soft save (every provider will have the same issue until they add RCON)
UPDATE: This has been changed in subsequent Valheim updates. You can now type save in F5 menu as Admin to save on the fly.

We don't live and breath a buggy mess of a mod whenever it changes. Most of our customers use vanilla Valheim with no issues. If it changes and it breaks, you are aware that adding a BETA mod to your server will cause issues and it is up to you to fix them or you can create a ticket and we can point you in the right direction.
Our Modify Valheim+ Config tool is not magically updated with new config options each time an update is released. We add them manually. It will take days. If you can't wait days, get an FTP program and modify the BepInEx\config\valheim_plus.cfg yourself by copying the latest changes from valheim_plus.cfg (use Winmerge or similar) on Github and every Valheim+ update will be a sinch.

    Go to Control Panel
    -> Game Servers
-> "Whatever your server is called"
-> Check box: "Delete World Save"
-> Scroll all the way down and press the big green button with the flashy white text: "Save Settings and Restart Game Server"
    -> Groundhog Day

Because that's not how the game is designed. There is no server-side generation or configuration for seed.
You are free to generate one locally and then upload though as has been stated.

You can find the seed if you have access to the servers FTP. If you don't have access to it, you simply can't.
If you do have access to it, download the .fwl file from the server (I use FileZilla to access it).
After it's downloaded, just go to any hex editor and open the file with that, online ones work just fine (I use hexed.it).
You'll see letters come up on the right hand side, marked with red in the picture, and that's the seed.
Seeds have a max character limit of 10, so if there's more characters after the 10th, it's not for the seed. (In this case I have a H after the last character in my seed.)

When editing the ini files using the tool found in the control panel, add the commands under the [SCUM] section. (Settings blurred out so not to leak server information)

Reference the Server setting wiki page here to be certain you are following the proper formatting of the text and are using proper values, all commands should be followed by = with an amount or information/text following the =, do not that all commands are case sensitive.

If you are experiencing issues with finding your ARK PS4 server, make sure that the Session Filter drop-down value is set to "Unofficial PC Sessions". If you have a password on your server, make sure the Show Password Protected box is checked. You can find both of these at the bottom left portion of the server browser menu.

If you are running a Primitive Plus server, make sure that you choose the game mode at the bottom right of the main ARK menu. You will be prompted to confirm a change in game mode.

Do so and the game will reload. You will be able to find your server via the same method as before. If you are still experiencing issues finding your non-Primitive Plus server, make sure your game mode is set to ARK: Survival Evolved and then reload the game upon the prompt.

Thank you for clarifying!  That's perfect. After reading some posts I thought it just automatically overwrote everyone's config file once updated. I was missing this part.

I think you are misunderstanding how it works.
It won't overwrite the valheim_plus.cfg config file unless you expressly tell it to by saving within the Modify Valheim+ Config tool using the Save Configuration button here at the bottom of the Modify Valheim+ Config tool. (again, only in the context of saving values within the Modify Valheim+ Config tool, all other general panel save button presses are unrelated and don't touch valheim_plus.cfg)

So to answer your question, you would not need to have a skip config save option, you would just not utilize the buttons above at the bottom of your Modify Valheim+ Config tool.
