Estimated time to complete mod orders for Arma game servers is on the order form.
The same applies to more complicated questions submitted as support tickets (like your infISTAR question)
We don't have a 24/7 team dedicated to Arma support, we have a specialist and those questions are not normal ticket queue tickets thus taking longer if Steven is not on shift.

Had trouble finding this information, but was able to get it to work finally. This is in regards to setting the respawn distance for resources from the player and a foundation.
The first step is finding the Game.ini file in "WindowsServer" edit it with a text editor (I use Notepad ++). The file was originally blank for me, I put the following text in the file:
[/script/dnl.shootergamemode] ResourceNoReplenishRadiusPlayers=0.2 ResourceNoReplenishRadiusStructures=0.2 The lower the number, the closer the resources spawn. I have been testing other such files that go under the /script/dnl.shootergamemode file path into this file, and they appear to work without any issue. At this point you upload it through the FTP. I have been using the helpful FTP guide that is stickied on the forums. Hope this helps! -

I've been talking with one of the Support guys via Ticket to reset my server to default, so I can go back through and try again. Been spending time on the mod's page on the 7days site, and I am seeing others with this issue, so trying to figure out how to 'fix' it.

Taking a look at your output.log (found at /7DaysToDieServer_Data/output_log.txt)
This is the error preventing the server from starting fully. You may want to try a validation (to restore everything from steam) and then attempt to install the mod again.

Check your other No___Downloads options, these should all be false depending on what you are trying to upload. Tributes are just for your player character

We've been using Server Tools on our server here at SS. It's technically a mod rather than a server manager, but it offers server broadcast messages and a lot of other cool features. Full list of features and install instructions can be found following the link. Install and config is fast and friendly.
Also, OP mentioned wanting to be able to remotely chat with users and kick people. This might also be of interest. There's a Discord bot that links your 7D server with a Discord server and allows you to chat with and kick people via Discord. And being that Discord is available for iOS and Android, it could be a convenient way to do such activities even from your phone.

Just make sure that you have MaxDifficulty=True on your Game.ini and DifficultyOffset=1.0 on your GameUserSettings.ini. Don't forget to execute the command admincheat destroywilddinos and all creatures on The Island and Scorched Earth should spawn up to level 150. A good way to know it's working properly is that you will see creatures with levels in multiples of 5 (5,10,15,20...145,150 etc.).

Pat reacted to DeezGames in Administrating Server Using RCON Protocol
A commonly noticed issue is setting the port to the game port rather than the RCON port listed. So make sure you're using the RCON port.
Also, sometimes copy/pasting your password from the control panel can cause issues, so try typing it out directly instead.
Also, always ensure you are using the most up to date version of the ARKON tool, by opening the program with the updater rather than the executable.
It may error, but it still works more often that way than not.

Pat reacted to fractal_void in How do you back-up your server/game files? Can they be placed in SP and run?
Just rename your save folder to the corresponding save local folder. For example copy your "SavedArk#####" from the server to your local save folder and rename it to SavedArksLocal for The Island, RagnarokSavedArksLocal for Ragnarok and so on (depending on the map). Then inside that folder rename your steamID.arkprofile to LocalPlayer.arkprofile and you should be set.

You can find recent logs in /ShooterGame/Saved/Logs/
Within your logs you'll find this line where xxx.xx is the version number.
[ 0]ARK Version: xxx.xx
Any number of things will prevent the version number from displaying correctly, most of the time it's due to a hostname being too long.

Pat reacted to fractal_void in Worsening FPS Since Last Patch, etc.
What are your specs? I hadn't notice an improvement until I started troubleshooting a different problem yesterday and renamed my local Saved folder in order to force the game to create a new one. Mainly you will want to delete PlayerLocalData.arkprofile under ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\LocalProfiles and your config files ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor. You may also just try just resetting your game resolution first by using the menu when launching Ark from the Steam client. You'll know that you did it right if the next time you launch the game it runs in windowed mode at 720p. From there choose the video settings that are appropriate to your computer specs.
After I did this I noticed 10-15 fps improvement overall. I have a GTX 970, 16GB Ram and a six years old i5-2500k, not running on an SSD. I get 35-45 fps on my base and 40-55 in the wild on 1920x1080, High Settings, Post Processing on Epic, Ground Clutter Max, Light Shafts and Bloom ON. Also if I'm not mistaken the developers mentioned that so far the improvements impact High and Epic settings while Medium and Low settings are still being worked on.

You want the beacon and fishing loot quality multipliers set to 1.0 if you're want Ark default values. The server configuration tool on the control panel is set to 5.0 as default so change it back to 1.0.

ShowFloatingDamageText=True does work on gameusersettings.ini
If you want to edit your game.ini I suggest doing it via FTP. Also always make sure that the server is stopped before making any changes.

i found a fix to the stamina issue where you can adjust the stamina drain. Thought i would share this information
PlayerStaminaMultiplier does not work but if you add the one below it works great.
you add this line to your Server Settings
change the value for 0.1 to roughly 1.5
[serverSettings] StaminaCostMultiplier=0.100000 AdminPassword=xxxxxxxx Hope this helps -

Yes it is possible. Do you need the information on how to use the FTP?
What do you want to change the values to?
First off you will need to download the GameUserSettings.ini file and add these values. Under [serverSettings] and before [/script/DNL.ShooterGameUserSettings]
XPMultiplier=2.012146 TamingSpeedMultiplier=5.043607 ResourcesRespawnPeriodMultiplier=0.4053518 PlayerCharacterWaterDrainMultiplier=0.5 PlayerCharacterFoodDrainMultiplier=0.5 DinoCharacterFoodDrainMultiplier=0.5 These values will increase XP by 2.012146 times. Increase taming speed by 5X and increase the resource respawn by a little less than half what it is now. PLayer food and water drain is halved. Dino food drain is halved. Then you will need to get the Game.ini file and add these values in below [/script/dnl.shootergamemode] CraftXPMultiplier=1.62 GenericXPMultiplier=2.04313
And that is it. Upload the new files and choose overwrite. I would then restart your server.

Pat reacted to DeezGames in Increasing Max Level for Dark and Light
I'm not sure on that one. I suppose there was a bit of confusion on my part there.
I have our server difficulty set to 1.25, if there is a separate "Difficulty Override" other than the normal difficulty setting, I wasn't aware.
Each 0.25 you change the difficulty seems increase the max level of creatures by 30 levels, as 120 is the base for 1.0.
From there, you will have to brain out the math on it, but I suppose if you want level 300 creatures for instance, you would use difficulty 2.5 based on that 0.25 / 30 level ratio.
I believe the ratio additionally comes out to 6 levels increased per 0.1 change, or 3 levels per 0.05 change in difficulty, in case that helps any for fine tuning.
