I just had my server switched. The first server showed in the Ark Session menu but, not now. This is a Steam issue? Other domain servers don't have the problem but, Survivals does? How so? It works once but, not twice? C'mon now.

Using the above method, I did not need to add a "1" to the port. When adding a "1" it could not find the server. Leaving the number as is worked. Done as of the date of this posting.

I noticed that now, the ARK version is displayed in the first column of the control panel, rather than forcing us to go through a link to search for it.. When was this added in? That is awesome, guys. Thanks!

Okay, I did the above. However, when entering the game I find I have to create a new character. The character from my server is not to be found. I also found most of my structures to be intact yet, everything created using mods was gone. IE, work-stations, items/structures created with said mods, etc. What file needs to be copied/modified to get my character from the server in the game and, what do I need to do to restore everything exactly as it is on the server? Where do I place the .ini files as well? Thanks for the help.

Thanks. I eventually found the post relating to the back-up. I'd still like to know how to get it to play in SP. If anyone has a clue?

I'm sure this has been asked somewhere before but, I've not found it. I'd like to know how to back-up all my server/player game files to my comp. I'd also like to know if there is a way to load these files into SP and run them? Thanks all.

I got it to work by placing the line in my ini. file. It took some configuring to get it right. Not sure what was causing it to be over-written but, I finally got it to take.

I'm running Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit AMD A8-3800 APU Quadcore 2.40GHZ 6.0 GB RAM GPU - Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 w/2gbs GDDR5 I have my resolution set the same as yours at the 1920x1080 setting. I did the resolution reset fix, to no avail. I am using med. settings, no light shaft or bloom, ground clutter and sky effects dialed way back. Can't set it at high to epic or I can't even move. Blurred textures back in force as well as a lot of stuttering in the game. sometimes, it freezes up from 10-30 seconds,occasionally longer. I've not tried your above solution. What problem were you trouble-shooting? Did it affect any of the conditions I mentioned? Thanks.

I too have this same issue. In fact, I dropped a rex egg today to incubate. Immediately upon putting it down, it disappeared. Total shite. The game gets more broken by the day.

Since ARK's last patch, I have noticed an extreme increase in lag, some rubber-banding, freezing up and, blurry textures. It ran fine for awhile. Now...........it's becoming almost unplayable again. This is on medium settings. No other changes to the server. The fps problem(I'm assuming it's an fps problem) has gotten to the point where I freeze up for anywhere from 15-60 seconds. I've entered the game several times in the last day to find the blurred textures issue. It is unfixable. Nothing affects it. I've completely shut the game down and started fresh. Same issues. Even re-starting my comp, which by the way is complete B.S. as you shouldn't have to re-start your comp because a game sucks so bad, has had no noticeable improvement. How many others have seen increased performance problems since the last patch, where they supposedly fixed memory issues and increased optimization?

How do you know what version of ARK is running on your server? Clicking on the '?????' box doesn't tell you anything. It simply takes you to the forum post that takes you to another Steam post that you have to dig through to find the latest version. We need to know what version is being run on our server at the time. Also, the servers are not auto-updating. Mine was set to 'As needed'. As needed means when their is a new patch, to install it. The patch released yesterday morning (8/16/17) and the server auto-restarts at 7:30pm pst. It did NOT update. Not good. Not good at all.

How do you un-select it? I can't seem to find that option anywhere.

I too, have had some of the same issues. I manually entered and saved changes made to the ini files. They worked at first but, now they are gone? How is that even possible? Surely, mods can't make changes to an ini file. Something else is going on. and, it's bothersome.

Yes, quite a few engrams learned. Not all but, many. Or at least from my perspective. Can't speak for the other players. I'll have to ask. There a way to go back and re-set engrams and just learn the ones we really need?
