Message received from support ticket. It's redundant, but make sure you follow the instructions CAREFULLY
Stop your server from the panel.
Log in to FTP using WinSCP (a free FTP software) using the connection details found in the "FTP Details" section of the game server control panel. Download link for WinSCP here http://winscp.net/eng/download.php
Download and open up the SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfg which can be found in the "Instance\" directory
(Note: I didn't have this setting, and had to add it manually in the Session Settings section)
Also download and open up your current saves "Sandbox_config.sbc" which can be found in the "Instance\YOUR_SAVE" directory (you can also just simply delete this file and allow a new one to be generated)

I'm running Epic Valheim and other mods without problems.

Installed everything (60 mods atm) for single-player to confirm that it works and then moved everything to the server via FTP.

No problems, we've been playing for a few weeks. 

When renting a new server, be sure to select the "Yes, Run Update" option in the game update drop down menu, then press the large green "Save Settings and Restart" button on the bottom of the page! That will install the files needed for the first boot and get your server online! 

I feel a bit silly after figuring this out. Despite all the discussions online about how to edit the ServerSettings.ini it's as simple as being an admin and using the in game Admin Controls to create the safe zones....

My issue was fixed after i sent in a support ticket. They did not explain what happened or why it happened
all they did was respond "This is resolved!"

Download an FTP client (I use Filezilla) then log into your FTP and download the serverconfig.xml file, edit it (use Notepad++, preferably), then reupload it through FTP again. That's how I do it (though if there's an easier way, that's be awesome).

You are able to make a manual back up of the data, save it to your local PC, and then start a new map on the server. Then if you wanted to come back to that old map later, you could re-upload the data and select the old map to play on it once more!

ARK Lost Island is now active on PS4/PS5 ARK! If you are having issues updating, please try selecting the "Force Update" option under the ARK Update drop down panel, and be sure to press the green "Save Settings and Restart" button at the bottom of the panel afterward to apply the update!

I am updating the server for you, this should install the files needed for the first boot. It should be ready in about 30 minutes, although it may take a bit longer due to the new update and map dropping. Many users are pushing updates out.

I am still stuck on ark installing on my machine so I couldn't play anyway lul. Dangit Wildcard get patches right for once hahahaha.
