Just one more way to connect to your UnOfficial server:
 
1.) Go to your ShooterGame.exe and right click it and make a shortcut. (For me it is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64)
 
2.) Right click ShooterGame.exe (It may say ShooterGame with APPLICATION next to it instead of ShooterGame.exe) and make a shortcut
 
3.) Cut and paste the newly created shortcut onto your desktop
 
4.) Right click the new shortcut and click properties.
 
5.) Inside the TARGET box enter your IP/PW like this (example):
 
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\ShooterGame.exe" +connect IPADDRESS:PORT +password "PASSWORDHERE"
 
6.) Run the shortcut. It will launch the game and say it is waiting for an invite or connecting to direct host and press ACCEPT. It should connect you to the server you entered above.

Stop your server Log into FTP using an FTP client (here's a quick guide on how to use FTP) Transfer all of the *.arktribe, *.arkprofile, and the MapName.ark file (if it's TheIsland you would take TheIsland.ark only, not the other backup files generated) from ShooterGame/Saved/SavedArkXXXX/ folder (where XXXX = your game server ID) to a local backup on your PC Switch maps, etc Another option would be to take note of the time and remember that you can roll back to that w/ the backup restore tool from the control panel.

So we can add server.url, server.description, and server.headerimage to this /server/experimental/cfg/server.cfg file and it will work like it was in the startup batch script?

We're investigating the issue. 24 hr restarts have been disabled. I think this + the v240 update just were a bit too much together.

Most options you are going to want to change will be as simple as making a change in the control panels 'modify server config' button.  Like taming speed for example:
 
Find Taming Speed Multiplier listed in that config menu, change the number to a higher number and it will speed things up.  Its a multiplier so changing it to a 3 will be 3 times faster taming.
 
Some other options in there are a little strange how they implemented the math, like the speed of the day and night time is a little more complicated, but for what you need almost everything should be listed on that link.

I will update in a little bit. Just so happened that the server crashed a minute ago and I have to restart it (not because of a command, just random).

Nice idea with displaying the launch param line. I've added that to the todo list.
 
The web console is a bit more complex so we'll have to hold off on that one for now but I did add it to the feature requests list.

If the server is set to PVE then you cannot pick up wild dino's by default, as that would lead to many ways one tribe or person could grief another tribe or person on a NON-PVP server.

I have noted this for the next update!

It depends on the join method whether it is +1 or not but as the other poster stated the Launch button will "direct connect" you into the game.

Also realized i kept putting in the wrong steam port query for dayz launcher also.

First join doesn't recognize mods after a fresh server start.
 
Refresh server on launcher.
 
Join again after your server is bolded on survival launcher it should work fine.

There is a setting under Modify Server Config that allows it. It's a checkbox that says Enable Cave Flyers or something of that effect...

I haven't released one for the ARK config tool for a few weeks but I will have some time tomorrow to at least add the new dinos from the patch today and a few other simple additions like that ones you mentioned. It's just tedious keeping it up-to-date constantly. Sorry.

Did you maybe enable *Whitelist* accidently? on the homepage of Control Panel
