Hello Ryan, New user, first time poster. I first want to thank you for you and Survival Servers Hard Work. I have 5 servers with "another company" and as of 2 days ago I have begun to migrate all of them here. Your responses here are a shining example as to why you have won me over. Your interface, your service all top notch and I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with. I just wanted you to know you guys have literally earned my business through your dedication.

My "other company" doesnt even HAVE a Scorched Earth Option.

I just wanted to say that I love you guys! Thank you so much for working on finding a solution and getting something up temporarily for us. I have always been so happy with you guys and this just solidifies it! I'd gladly pay a bit extra for the ability to easily transfer and am just waiting a little bit to see what comes up until Wildcard hopefully can get this system sorted out. Thank you all so much again! I couldn't ask for a better hosing company!

The temporaray nodes are temporary and they should not be used for permanent play. A couple hours at max. Might have to add in some sort of auto shutdown feature to make sure nobody abuses having two game servers up at the same time or limiting the amount of times the Transfer Mode can be activated. I guess we'll just see over the next few weeks how it goes.

There's no current plan to allow permanent clustered servers but if that's the direction Wildcard is heading then we might have some sort of paid upgrade option for that. The logistics are a bit complex to implement a permanent solution. It's incredibly ugly right now to implement this. What I do hope (and have asked) is that they allow remote clustering, which would solve the issue completely. =)

That's exactly what this tool does. when the Transfer Mode is enabled a second instance is created which is what map/expansion you intend to transfer to. When the server is started another server is started in parallel with the new map and the Transfer prefix to the save folder, hostname, etc. So you have two live game servers running to temporarily transfer data. Once you are done with all of the needed transfers, disable the Transfer Mode and on the next start your SavedArkXXXXTransfer folder (where all the transfers are now on the new map/expansion) are moved to SavedArkXXXX as your single game server save.

We too are pretty confused by the documentation that is provided.

Other hosting companies have said "Nope can't do it" but we're not taking that stance.

I'll figure it out and update you guys when more information is available.

I have the transfer working and working on a method right now to allow a toggle in the control panel to have it enabled.

It's a bit of work so I can't really give an ETA or anything.

Your server panel should have your IP and port on it.

Initially you can press F1 and type client.connect (IP:Port)

You should create or modify your server.cfg file though. I'm not quite sure what makes the server become listed, but I think having a server.cfg file might do it.

Congrats on your server! And welcome to server management. It can take some time to get a good answer for things you need to know (as I've figured out!) but not long ago I was/am in the same boat as you. I've learned a few things that have helped specifically with your issue with the Titan.

Just adding the line you've found out about to the ini file doesn't work. Not sure why it doesn't, but doing just that doesn't allow it to be fed. There's a bit of a complicated thing you have to do, which is way more complicated than adding a mod. You'll need to set up custom launch parameters with that line in it, and tell the game it's a custom map while still using the map you want to use (mine is the Island). I hope someone much, much more educated on it helps you or at least that points you in the right direction. (NOTE TO SURVIVAL SERVERS: We'd love AllowRaidDinoFeeding added to your new section if you find time and that is practical!)

Second big thing you *need* to know is that even with this line, the Titan will not feed itself and will starve on it's own anyways. After the first restart, I noticed it wasn't eating and nearly panicked before hitting the forums. I found out quickly enough that I had to force feed it to get it to eat (berries worked fine). That means a large berry drop into it's inventory daily and feeding it for a few minutes a day. Miss a full two days and it will probably be gone when you log back in, can't say for sure because I'm not sure how food settings and such effect the titan or what they are on your server.

Many, many of these things like the .ini can be done from your control panel without using the FTP I think. Maybe all of them?  Also never hesitate to open a ticket if you're stuck *after reading as much as you can from the forums*. The staff at this company have been nothing short of amazing in helping me with a variety of problems I'm sure I caused my server myself. If I can help in any way or link more of what I have to you, just poke me and let me know! Hope this has helped with your Titan!

Figured it out. The Steam cache needed to be wiped and then re-logged in (as online then offline) for every server with the DLC. Unfortunately, there were no guides on how to get this done so I basically had to grind all of the 1000 possibilities until I figured this out.

Going to give everyone a free week for the issues later this evening. Sorry guys, I know it's been frustrating. New map hype and all.

Just found the fix. Take the spaces out after the commas and they all work.
Moderator Please add a "comma separated NO Spaces" note to the mod ID tool tip to prevent other users from experiencing this issue.

    Difficulty Value and Difficulty Offset
Instead of fixed difficulties such as Easy, Medium, and Hard, the difficulty is expressed using a number currently between 0.5 and 4.0 (or 5.0 in The Center). This number is known as the Difficulty Value and is controlled by the DifficultyOffset option. The Difficulty Offset is a floating point number with a value between 0.01 and 1.0, with a higher number representing a higher Difficulty Value. Note, however, that setting the Difficulty Offset to 0.0 will result in a Difficulty Value of 1.0. The default Difficulty Value if the Difficulty Offset is not set is 1.0.
To calculate the Difficulty Value for a specific Difficulty Offset, use the formula

    DifficultyValue = DifficultyOffset * 3.5 + 0.5

and round to one decimal. To calculate the Maximum Creature Level for a given Difficulty Value, simply multiply by 30.This works because the Maximum Creature Level scales linearly with the Difficulty Value, and a Difficulty Value of 1.0 results in a Maximum Creature Level of 30.)

Values are accurate, if you experience higher levels post change to your GameUserSettings.ini then you need to do cheat destroywilddinos, then restart your server.

i run my server @ diff offset 18 but wont get any higher then 600 (but this is mod related)
