Enablecheats not working

So ive just got a server today and wanted to set myself as admin i do enablecheats then my admin pass but nothing happens

FTP a text file named "  AllowedCheaterSteamIDs  " to the folder named  "  /ShooterGame/Saved  "

 

Inside this file add your steam ID

if you have multiple admin each steam ID goes on a separate line

What do you think is suppose to happen? Nothing happens except enabling the cheats. You have to type in a command for anything to happen.

Try it again and then try "showmyadminmanager" All one word, no quotes, and see if that works.

You have to do enablecheats youradminpassword  If it doesn't work then you don't have an admin password set in your Ini.  Or like Geoffry mentioned make the AllowedCheaterSteamIDs.txt file.  I find that is much easier so you don't have to enter your password every time you connect.

Where does one find their steam ID number? I've tried looking for it and am not sure where to find it.
