  1. I've not quite been brave enough to try it, not sure even what it does that just rebooting the server every so often doesn't do. Would also be interested in hearing if anyone has used it.
  2. Hey Ryan and the rest of you at Survival Servers.... GREAT JOB!! THANK YOU FOR A GREAT PRODUCT AND LOTS OF HOURS DEALING WITH US!
  3. Mndfreeze, We are running 20 mods at the moment with no issues. Happy to send mod list privately if you would like to see it With the development kit update just being released there will be a lot of mod updates which is kinda a pain from a server admin point of view, lots of restarts to update, but I feel like they are worth it you might want to give the modders a week or two to catch up first.
  4. Karadyn, yeah pretty much. Though it looks like toparkservers.com is seeing them correctly now and tonight I will see if the in game browser sees them separately which would make it hugely easier
  5. yeah, the Steam server list DID eventually change for me, but it took a number of tries. And it doesn't want to see them both for sure. Hoping the patch dropping today has some fixes for the ingame so we don't have to do this happy dance every time we change.
  6. I initially had this problem, but I closed out and restarted my control panel after about 10 minutes and it showed up. Its on the right side down under Restart Interval and just above the button for Modify Server Config
  7. Bugs are definitely frustrating, but it is a part of technology/gaming. No matter how much testing is done, something always comes up and requires fixing! So deep breaths and let the folks who are working their butts off and long hours figure out the fixes. This crew has been great trying to get us the best experience available, it will get there, we just have to be a little bit patient It will get better and smoother. And the server not responding at all is probably something you should put an actual support ticket in on if you haven't already.
  8. So far, as I understand it: You can only enable the cluster map from a standard map, so if you're using a custom launch, you have to turn to one of the standard maps. The game is currently letting you "join a cluster map' at an obelisk or loot crate, it sees the cluster map, you click 'join w/survivor' at the bottom left. If you have a password enabled it is popping up asking for it. But at that point everything stops. "uploaded her character data to ARK.. popped back in at lvl 1.. tried to switch to scorched earth with Join Survivor.. it just all crashes and then she comes back to The Island with a new lvl 1 character." Mine is giving me the option at the bottom of the page to Download Survivor, and I'm getting my high level back, with everything as it should be, so it is uploading the character, just not connecting to the new server. I put a ticket in on it, and I am told it is a bug with ARK at the moment, and it is being worked on by the Ark devs. So looks like its a sit back a few and give them a chance to sort out the mess
  9. Would love to have a toggle for enabling AllowAnyoneBabyImprintCuddle so we can do it without having to run a Custom launch Thanks for everything!
  10. I just purchased the upgrade. Do we need to do anything in particular or make any settings changes to get it running?
  11. Turned out to be a mod issue, all running good now.
  12. I have mine set to "Never", as I generally do it manually when it best suits the timing of my players and myself. Haven't had any issues because of it yet, other than having to make sure I do it to update when new patches come out before my players get on it, or they can't join.
  13. I lied, the comment is "this is an exclusive server"
  14. I set up my secondary server as just a SE server until such time as we're able to 'attach' it to the main one. So far as I can see, and I've triple checked, I have the server set up correctly and running. When I go to join I get a "This is a private server" and it dumps me out. I did buy and install the paid content, and Steam shows it correctly there. I've been through all the settings I can find, and no love. Any thoughts or help out there? Currently verifying my files through Steam.
  15. Ryan, and the rest of your staff, thanks a ton for the time and work that you've already put into getting the Scorched Earth thing to work, and so fast! I currently host 2 separate servers with you as is, and I have no problem, personally, paying a bit more for one in order to have the cluster ability and be able to freely move around in the game. I know nothing at all about the logistics and issues involved with making this work, so I'm not even going to try to comment on that, only that if you're able to do it, you have a customer here. Thanks again!
  16. well, heck, thats what I get for not reading everything huh? Sorry!!
  17. Something I have noticed happening for me on both of my servers: I am going in and adding the line to game.ini file to not have Gigants spawn using FTP, saving and overwriting the file. I then start the server back up, and all is well and it persists through restarts and regular updates, etc.. If later, I go in through your control panel and make a change on some setting or another, it rewrites the ini file, saving ONLY those settings that are in the control panel. I have to then, stop the server again, go in with FTP and re-add the line, save it, restart it and go on. (same goes for some changes I made to the gameusersettings.ini as well). This isn't a crisis by any means, just annoying to have to update, wait for restart/load, stop, FTP, restart, wait for load, every time I make a change. I just wanted to let you know. Thanks! Ealine
  18. Hi, I also had this problem, and after searching found that you need to put this line: NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Gigant_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="") under the heading at the top of you Game.ini file. You will have to FTP in to do it. AND I've had trouble with the Game.ini file and the Gameuser.ini files overwriting on restarts so that they often lose the changes I've made, you will need to check them often. Ryan or anyone else have any thoughts on the fact that the changes don't seem to stay? Is it just the nature of the constant patching? Thanks! Ealine
  19. Ok I was pretty sure that was the situation after searching for hours, but no one just said that. thank you!
  20. Hi, I am missing something I think, I got a small server just for my friends and I to do a little SOTF on the side. I put in the conversion mod number. Nothing happens, it starts as normal SE. I went back and redid the conversion number to make sure I had it right and checked the SOTF forums. It still starts as just SE, and doesn't show up as a server in SOTF. I have tried searching and reading everything I can find, but no one seems to have any helpful info. Please help. Thanks Kjarstin GAME SERVER ID #16274
  21. Following as I have the same question for the same mod.
  22. Hi!, Quick question I hope. I have a mod running that I would like to make a change to the settings for. According to the creators writeup the change I want is simple. But I can't find the .ini info for the mod. I looked in the Mods folder, found the mod number but no place to make the change. (I want to increase the quality setting in the Beacons mod) I don't see any of the mods in the GameUserSetting.ini either. Help please thanks Kjarstin
