  1. Resetting template and save files seems to have fixed it! *fingers crossed* we have smooth sailing for a bit!
  2. No clue, maybe? Thanks, clearing everything and resetting the template was next on my list of to-do. Hopefully it will work! Thanks!
  3. Hey folks, I just stripped my servers down and created a new map layout in the server grid editor. Everything seems to be working fine, but no one is able to create a new company. You get the "Name your new company" box, type in the name and it just hits the cooldown but never creates the company. We're unable to accept invites to each other's company as well. Anyone have any idea what the issue might be? Or have run into it and have some idea how to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! K
  4. Thanks for the link, that was well put together and very helpful for those of us just trying to learn it!
  5. Those of you who've been doing a lot more playing with the .json than I, is there a simple way to change the Island names without using the big editor? Or can it only be done in an editor? I don't want to mess with anything else, I'd just like cool island names instead of Cay_L_TR etc Thanks!
  6. Hopefully, *fingers crossed* the next patch will fix the buoy-respawn issue.
  7. If we change the level cap etc on our home server, do we need to mirror those settings in the game.ini and gameusersettings.ini on all the clustered servers or do they pull from the Home server settings? I was assuming we did need to add those settings to each server but now I'm questioning myself. Please to let me know if you know Thanks!!
  8. The simplest would be to put 0,0 for your home server and 0,1 for your 2nd one. Make sure the Home box is unchecked on your second server. If you click on the little 'i' next to the Atlas ID box and read through it, toward the bottom there will be a randomly generated ID you can copy and paste to use if you like, or make your own. Just make sure you use the same ID in both servers. Mine didn't update properly until I restarted the Home server twice.
  9. I know you can do custom maps and there is supposedly a huge amount of map editing available, but other than that I have no idea how to do it, sorry!
  10. Aryte: It appears that they are slaved to the home server at least from the bit I've been messing with them tonight. Aivadarker: I had the timeout issue initially, then I went back stopped all the servers, started all the expansion ones, then restarted my Home server and it seemed to fix the problem. (no idea why, I was just trying stuff) I gave the servers slightly different names Atlas, Atlas2, etc mostly for my sanity doesn't seem to affect the main server's .json.
  11. After setting my 2x2 grid up last night I think I can help answer some of this at least. You specify one server as your Home Server. That one will be where the main spawn point is and you probably want to make it a Freeport one so that you have access to the vendors etc. Then each of the other servers you give a Grid point X,Y based on which map zone you want to add. I stuck within the example that SurvivalServers put up on their Information tab for the AtlasID. Then you create your own unique ID for your Atlas and label each server with that ID to tell them to link up. Then restart all servers and it should work. Keep in mind I did this using the Survival Server's control panel and it was fairly easy. I know you can also handle it in the .json files and add your custom maps or other grids etc. but I'm not experienced enough to risk that mess.
  12. Just to verify, you are checking on your server right? Using an FTP client of some sort and logging into the server remotely to access your server's files? I ask because the WindowsNoEditor is where the game saves local single player games on your computer, and you would not see the WindowsServer file on your machine.
  13. You are looking in your server files right? Using an FTP client to log in and address the server files? The windowsnoedit should be a local single player file on you computer if you're running a single player game.
  14. Yes, choose which map section you want from the grid and put its corresponding X,Y in the space you want it on your grid. Make sure you have your 'main' or spawning server checked in the Home Server box and all of the others are unchecked. Then create an ID or use the randomly generated one that should pop up in one of your new servers. Make sure all the servers you want to link together are using that code. Save and Restart and you should be good. I had to start all the 'expansion' servers then restart my "home" server to get them all to mesh but it worked quite well.
  15. Merry Christmas folks, Lots of speculation here, but from what I'm seeing on other boards, Atlas' server situation is something none of the hosts quite know how to handle yet. I have faith that Ryan and his crew will come up with something reasonable for everyone. I pre-ordered our server and I'm going to just wait and see what kind of setup these guys come up with for us.
  16. well that stinks! I hope they change their mind as well!
  17. ....on whether or not Bethesda is going to allow Fallout 76 private servers? I have my finger poised to purchase one .... Kjarstin
  18. I get to be the first post!!! YAYYYYY The team at Survival Servers has been working hard! Here are links to their Wiki pages with some of the Rend Server stuff for those of us trying to set up/modify our private servers Admin commands Server setup guide I found these recently trying to sort out my own server so figured I'd link them here for others.
  19. any idea if/when we will have the ability to manage mods through the control panel? You guys have soooooo spoiled me with Ark's control panel and FTP'ing the darn updates every time a mod updates is making my want to stab things with a spoon ! E
  20. ahh, ok, thanks! I knew I was missing something.
  21. I am starting to work with adding mods to DnL as some are starting to be available. Carefully of course as the devkit is minimal and the modders are still working on basic kinks. Since there is no area to add the mods in the control panel as of yet, I've tried just adding the ActiveMods= line into the gameusersettings.ini It appears to not be loading the mods. Am I missing something I need to add? or is it just the mods not being all that stable yet? Thanks!
  22. I'm still enjoying it quite a bit. I've had to work around some of the bugs, but most aren't hard to deal with. I hadn't played for 6 months, and came back to it just recently. Looking forward to some of the new content that they've added this past couple of months! E
