  1. No individual way to change that unfortunately (that I know of). Just gotta stick with the OP pickup Perhaps can check in the game.ini instead. Wonder if it's a different stat or just lumped into harvesting as a whole.
  2. I don't think those numbers are all that off.......are you not trying to harvest stone or want more of something else? Stone Hatchet will give more Stone, some Flint, very little Metal Stone Pickaxe will give more Flint, some Stone, more Metal than hatchet, but still not tons. Metal Hatchet gives same as above, but higher chance for Metal Metal Pickaxe same, but even higher chance for Metal. Things you might have already known, but putting it out there anyway. Havn't messed with Harvestable Items Multiplier, but might be just as it sounds - give lower/higher chance to loot particular item. Maybe beacon loot?
  3. Only matters based on personal preference. Any number you'd like - higher lower, s'all good. Most of mine are 6k in the start, 8k later, and then ramp to 10k in "end" levels.
  4. Personal call. 2k xp sounds awfully low to me so just depends if you want level to be super fast, or take a little extra work. Maybe I'm just used to the whole higher levels should take longer thing.
  5. Link not permitted so can't see the script. The difficulty offset will get ya the 120 dinos, but also keep in mind high level ones are still rare'ish. You won't be seeing most of them at 100+, just a few here and there. Now that I think of it.............wouldn't mind finding a way to set a minimum level. Hmmmm - gonna have to look into that. Maybe just set the xp amount needed super low for like lvl 90+. Yeah - that might be it!
  6. That one I don't know. I would imagine you might have to manually set those levels if they're not already in your control panel. Official servers would update their ini files accordingly, whereas private servers would probably have to do it themselves. It should actually be pretty straightforward as far as how much xp should go in the box. Just look at the difference between the last few levels. An Example: Level 72 - 80000xp - 50 Engrams Level 73 - 88000xp - 50 Engrams Level 74 - 94000xp - 50 Engrams See the pattern there of just adding 8k? That's all that's going on there - nothing fancy. If you want it to be tougher & tougher to gain levels, add 10k (or higher) instead of 8k. Numbers are just examples, not suggestions. Don't forget the Max XP override too.
  7. Difficulty Offset maxes at 1. Anything over 1 is still 1. It's 4x the difficulty of default, and will let spawned dinos go up to 120. After you change the setting, you should kill all the wild dinos so you get new spawns. admincheat destroywilddinos That command will kill all wild, but keep tamed dinos untouched.
  8. Can't help much with server not loading, but support ticket should get ya. Sometimes the initial setup can take a while (even though it says in an email that it's ready), and it can also just plain goof since it's an automated thing. They'll set ya up soon I'm sure. If you need any other info and can't find elsewhere, just post back.
  9. haha, 3rd times a charm aye? It's easier than you think, and most of the stuff in the panel has the description right there. Closest I ever found to a guide was this site: http://arksurvivalevolved.gamewalkthrough-universe.com/dedicatedservers/customizationtools/Default.aspx For instance: Levels: it shows the level number, xp required, and engrams given per level. To add more, just click add level, and then add in the xp/engrams. If you're not certain how much xp should be there, just look at the previous few levels and whip out the calculator. Be sure to find the spot that has "Override Max Experience Points Player" (and also dino). Change that to the max xp of your choosing (highest level xp that you entered). Day/Night: These values are Speed (even says speed right on there). DayCycleScale: Raising value will make the cycle go faster, so days/nights are shorter. Lowering will make cycles slower so days/nights are longer. DayTimeSpeedScale: Raising makes the day go faster, lowering makes the day go slower NightTimeSpeedScale: same as above Harvest Rate: Look for "Harvest Amount Multiplier" Higher number = more resources per harvest. Tame: Look for "Taming Speed Multiplier" Higher number = quicker tames Experience: Look for "XP Multiplier" Higher number = more xp gained Each of these has a description right under it that makes it pretty easy to remember. Once done, hit the big Orange button at bottom for Save & Restart. Modding: This is done in the main Control Panel area, and NOT in the Modify Server Config part. Nifty enough, you click the little "i" button, and it gives you info on how it's done. This box is where you enter the Mod ID number from the Steam Workshop. Quite easy to find the number as it'll be the end of the url link. Find the mod you want, look at it's URL, and you'll see "id=0123456" at the end. You just want the 0123456 number. Put that into Mods box. Separate each mod number id by a comma. 123,456,789,0123,45687846,2468,3468 - just like that. Key thing to do before you touch any mods or the server config. Hit STOP on the server (Control Panel area). Wait a minute or two to give it time to do its thing, then add your mod numbers or do your config, hit Restart (Big green button at bottom). Don't do both of these at once. Stop your server, do Server Config stuff, restart, then stop again, then add mods, then restart again. Updating: Control Panel area - there's a drop down box labeled "ARK Update". When you want to update......you guessed it - STOP the server first. Wait a minute or two, change the dropdown and select "Yes, run update" and hit the restart at bottom. This takes quite a bit of time so be patient and do not close the page. There's tons more in the config area, but didn't want to throw down that much info when most of it is pretty straightforward. If any specifics, just shout it out, or do a search. Edit: Also forgot to mention Difficulty. If y'all want higher level dinos, make sure to change Difficulty Offset to 1 (1 is actually the highest, and gives the 120 dinos).
  10. I don't know of a full guide. Any settings that seemed fishy, I just searched for the exact term and pretty much every time I was able to find some definitive info on a wiki or steam forums.
  11. A lot of it is self explanatory, but there are some tricky things. Like for some values you'd think raising it is what you want, but it's actually lowering it. A handful of wiki's out there, plus these & steam forums should be able to get you through what values mean what.
  12. You have to update your own server in the control panel so how often is entirely up to you
  13. Fill out a support ticket - perhaps something goofed on the initial world setup.
  14. Do you have an auto-save interval setup in the config? If not, then how/when are you doing the saving?
  15. Did you change the Override Max Experience Points Player/Dino number? Both are a few lines above where you change the xp per level section. Also have you changed Difficulty Offset at all?
  16. After you changed the levels, did you destroy the current population to let them respawn with higher levels? if not, do a "admincheat destroywilddinos" in the console (no quotes of course, and make sure eneablecheats is set). This will destroy the wild dinos but keep your tamed ones. There's also a DestroyAllEnemies command witch will destroy all wild AND tamed.
  17. Which mods have some issues? Only curious cause I have 10 or so and no problems yet. There's a few more I'm interested though, just paranoid to add too many and screw things up. My List: Joan's Death Helper Joan's Pet Finder Joan's Meat Spoiler Temp Building Mod Industrial Grinder Joan's Charcoal Baker Big Walls Joan's Egg N Poop Collector N Incubator Tavan's Trough Metal with Glass Set I've added 4 or 5 at a time before, but I have yet to remove any to know how that process might go.
  18. On the OverrideMaxExperiencePointsPlayer part, you have the line of code in there instead of just the number. Though tbh, I'm not sure which is actually the correct way, just bringing it up as something I spotted as I would imagine (and hope) that just a number goes there, not the code part. As for offset difficulty, it's hard coded to 1 maximum, so anything over 1 is still 1, which is 4x the default difficulty and gives the lvl 120 Dinos. Do you stop the server before entering any values? Don't know if that matters, just seems likes good practice so that's what I always do. Shut it down, wait 5-10 minutes before any restarts and havn't had issues yet but I'm sure my time will come
  19. When you're on the main page for the Control Panel (on this site, not in game) there's an RCON section. That's the password you should be using for for the enablecheats command. Also there's not actually brackets or the arrows, it's just straight up enablecheats password.......I don't know if you're putting the <> thing, but worth bringing up just in case. There's also not a message or ding or any sort of acknowledgement you entered it correctly.
  20. When you log off, you don't just disappear, your body is still there for the taking (or eating! lol). Is it specifically just during restarts, or is there a loose Giganotosaurus having its way with your people? Any tests you've tried? Like just manually restarted and seeing if there's an issue?
  21. Could do time based options as well. Like only certain times of the day is PvP enabled and I've also seen servers do weekends only. The Steam discussions has a section for servers - hop over there and browse around other peoples servers, steal some ideas
  22. Answered your other thread already ( https://www.survivalservers.com/forum/index.php?/topic/2184-how-to-modify-the-rate-at-which-dinos-level/ ) For adding better stats per level, look for the section in the Modify Server Conifg that says: Per Level Stat Multipliers. You can't get more points to spend per level (just that 1), BUT, you can edit how much those stats go up so that should get you the effect you're shooting for.
  23. On top of Overriding the max exp (which you already did) you also have to change the values for the levels. There's a section in the Modify Config part named Player Levels Configuration and Dinosaur Levels Configuration. You have to click Show, and then it'll have all the levels & experience points necessary.
  24. in the GameUserSettings.ini, add that line in there. Be sure to save server, and then restart. Also if that fixes the rubberbanding, fell free to let us all know Info from: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=454529617
  25. 1 is the max number (without mods). Nifty page here will give you math stuff: http://ark.gamepedia.com/Difficulty
