Derpito92 2 Report post Posted July 30, 2017 decay.scale 0 A server restart would reset it to default value of 1, even after server.writecfg. In custom launch parameter for that one btw Click on the little info icon to get more information about how to add stuff into the params. The custom launcher parameter has limitation on number of characters used. So, wouldn't it be faster and also a better option to upload a custom server.cfg file? cdpowerman5000 4 Report post Posted July 30, 2017 Should be able to add it to a serverauto.cfg file and have it work. Would go in server/experimental/cfg where users.cfg is located.
Derpito92 2 Report post Posted August 1, 2017 Should be able to add it to a serverauto.cfg file and have it work. Would go in server/experimental/cfg where users.cfg is located. I just tried that and serverauto.cfg keeps getting resetted for me. I think safest bet is to just upload a server.cfg file that won't reset with "writecfg" command in console. cdpowerman5000 4 Report post Posted August 1, 2017 are you using the stop, start, restart buttons at the top of the control panel? Those shouldn't overwrite your cfg file.
Derpito92 2 Report post Posted August 3, 2017 are you using the stop, start, restart buttons at the top of the control panel? Those shouldn't overwrite your cfg file. Yes I am using those buttons. Restart via Rcon doesn't really work.
corrosionhour 1 Report post Posted January 1, 2018 Hey Thoax, I've written up a detailed article on how you can go about manipulating the decay of a server. Check it out here, RUST Decay Upkeep Variable.
