How to get Titanosaur to not starve on Private Server

Hiya - I couldn't find a forum topic already with this, but my friends and I on our SurvivalServer want to start preparing to tame a Titanosaur.  Since its just myself and 3 others on our server, we would like to make it where it wouldn't starve.

 

I have found that you're supposed to add this command:

 

?AllowRaidDinoFeeding=true

 

or you can add it to the .ini file - AllowRaidDinoFeeding=true

 

I just don't quite know how I would go about doing this on the Control Panel (or if I would have to get into the FTP Filezilla to edit the .ini).  I am not the most technical when it comes to these things.  Any help would be appreciated.

Congrats on your server! And welcome to server management. It can take some time to get a good answer for things you need to know (as I've figured out!) but not long ago I was/am in the same boat as you. I've learned a few things that have helped specifically with your issue with the Titan.

 

Just adding the line you've found out about to the ini file doesn't work. Not sure why it doesn't, but doing just that doesn't allow it to be fed. There's a bit of a complicated thing you have to do, which is way more complicated than adding a mod. You'll need to set up custom launch parameters with that line in it, and tell the game it's a custom map while still using the map you want to use (mine is the Island). I hope someone much, much more educated on it helps you or at least that points you in the right direction. (NOTE TO SURVIVAL SERVERS: We'd love AllowRaidDinoFeeding added to your new section if you find time and that is practical!)

 

Second big thing you *need* to know is that even with this line, the Titan will not feed itself and will starve on it's own anyways. After the first restart, I noticed it wasn't eating and nearly panicked before hitting the forums. I found out quickly enough that I had to force feed it to get it to eat (berries worked fine). That means a large berry drop into it's inventory daily and feeding it for a few minutes a day. Miss a full two days and it will probably be gone when you log back in, can't say for sure because I'm not sure how food settings and such effect the titan or what they are on your server.

 

Many, many of these things like the .ini can be done from your control panel without using the FTP I think. Maybe all of them?  Also never hesitate to open a ticket if you're stuck *after reading as much as you can from the forums*. The staff at this company have been nothing short of amazing in helping me with a variety of problems I'm sure I caused my server myself. How is this done when using The Center?  I cannot find anywhere that allows me to set my launch parameters.  There is no toggle box and it is not an option in the Advanced Launch Params tool. Also, the allosaurus isn't spawning.  =(

Select Custom map, use The Center custom launch parameters and add in that launch param at the end

Turning on raid dino feeding still requires you to force feed the titanosaur.  I would suggest this mod: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=721576067

 

It adds a permanently tamable, titano that will eat from a trough, can be bred, levels up and can be in every way treated like a normal tame dino.  They even gave it some harvesting ability

since a lot of these settings can be manually input into your gameusersettings.ini such as the PreventDiseases=true and whatnot don't you think we could get them added to the modify server config tool?

should probably add this to your ini as well

RaidDinoCharacterFoodDrainMultiplier=1.000000 this way you can force feed them and their food consumption won't be ridiculous.
