Server Location randomly changed and server can no longer be logged into

Last night I was informed my server randomly shut down on the players. Logged in to check it out and was told that an employee was intervening with the server. Put a reply to an open ticket to ask why and thought nothing of it. However after trying to log in this morning, I am finding that I cannot log into the server at all as it is being shown offline https://arkservers.net/server/167.114.209.25:17516everywhere but the control panel. After logging into my Control Panel for the server I see that my location has been changed from Dallas to Germany and it seems as though the IP has randomly changed as well. I thought I would go change the location and make it a simple fix, but when I try to do that I receive a warning message that the server will be wiped and to save the data from the FTP files. Well unfortunately it seems after the issues last night and changes that were made I am no longer able to access the FTP files. I want to go back to the original location and IP so that other players and I are once again actually able to access my server without wiping it. I still have not been informed as to why these changes were made.

Game Server ID: 12313

Email: [email protected]

Ticket Numbers: 695611 121424  (One ticket asking about the intervening the other addressing the location change)

Having the server down for over a day is already going to drive off players. If i add a wipe on top of that it will be worse. Not having a good experience with this host service so far.

Same here #8020, they told me it was a hardware failure that made they change to a better machine but because of that I lost most of my players... just the ones I had contact with remained. This is definetely not ok.

Were they able to get you back to your original location and IP without wiping the server? Or are you still waiting on it to be resolved as well? Thanks for the reply now I know I'm not the only one dealing with it.

This happened on our server as well and now it just went down again. Our server was located in North Carolina, now when we search it, it says it is in Canada somewhere and has a different IP as well.....I would really like to know whats going on? I did see they tweeted about a hardware failure that probably caused the move but would have been nice to get an email or something especially since they had to change our IP addresses....

GAME SERVER ID #8965

I have been with this host a long time and they are usually great. I am not sure what is going on with this...

Can we get some kind of an update and or explanation on this guys?

Also, since the move our server has been locking up daily and we have to do a reboot before anyone can log back in? This is causing us to lose people. Any idea what may be causing it?

Yes if your server is locked for some time and you receive a new IP:Port you have been transferred.

Unfortunately, we have to move customers from time to time, with or without notice. If a server is not running perfectly, if we get a lot of complaints for that server on lag/performance, if we are upgrading old servers to later gen models, etc - we have to cancel that server and get a new one. The new one comes with a new IP address and has to be that way. Some times we are consolidating multiple different IPs to one. It doesn't make practical sense to save the old IP - complicating things further saving the same port. It happens, not very frequently, but it does and we go above and beyond to make our best effort to keep the data in tact. We make best efforts to utilize the in-game saveworld command to keep your data (in fact, our control panel automatically does that when transferring) but sometimes the saveworld command just does not work properly. That's a game bug, and while unfortunate, leaves us with very little to do. You can try restoring your configuration from the ARK Modify Server Config tool and then performing a recent restore from the available datestamps on the control panel Restore ARK Backup drop down feature. The saveworld corruption issue has been forwarded to the developers for review. We are following their exact protocol when transferring servers to a new location. 9 out of 10 times it succeeds perfectly. It's an Alpha game and a lot of server related game bugs we have helped them fix by submitting evidence like this.
