  1. I don't know if you would label me as an advanced user but I still do all of my modifications via the ini files. If you need any assistance with this, let me know. Pardon any spelling or grammatical errors. I may or may not have been drinking at the time of this post lol.
  2. Hey there Mulrak, There are are a few different tools that you will want to familiarize yourself with and a lot of it will be trial and error until you get the hang of things. 1. ARKon is a remote desktop client that allows you to do certain things in the server while not needing to be in game. From arkon you can kick, ban and whitelist players. You can send broadcasts to the server or individual players and you can run certain scripted commands. http://rusty.sadface.co.uk/download/ARKon/ARKon.zip 2. scripted admin commands are something that you should get familiar with as most of your admin commands are done this way either in game or via ARKon. Here is a list that seems to stay pretty up to date http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=454529617&insideModal=1 3. FTP client. You will use your FTP client to upload files to your server or download them from your server. There are a lot of FTP clients out there. I personally prefer Filezilla. https://filezilla-project.org/download.php 4. Survival Servers control panel. There are quite a few options here so I can't really go over them all but you will use the control panel for quite a few things. From here you can start, stop, launch, rename or move your server to name a few. If you want to modify settings on your server you can click modify server config or you can directly modify the ini files via your ftp client. You can also click on sub users on the left side and set up sub user accounts that will have access to either limited or full versions of your control panel (you choose). This is helpful to allow other admins to restart etc without giving out all of your passwords and without them having full access to your survival servers account. Another helpful thing is to set up an automatic restart interval and set "ark Update" to enable. When your server restarts, it will automatically check for any updates and download them to your server. Anyways, good luck with your server and post a topic if you have any questions.
  3. Just wanted to give an update to this. Not sure why I haven't tested this before but there is a workaround until Ryan is able to fully implement this feature. On your main control panel make sure you have "Ark Update (Automatic)" set to "Enable". If your sub-user needs to update the server, he/she can simply log on to their sub-user control panel with limited access and click the "restart" button. This triggers the server to restart and check for updates. If any updates are available, it will apply them during the restart. Just tested this out and it works like a charm. Hope this helps everyone out.
  4. Just re-read your post and saw that you are having problems with any of the blueprint commands? The only thing I can think of is that maybe you are pasting it with a space before it? I pasted your line and my line in difference checker online and they are identical....not sure what the issue could be.
  5. These are copied and pasted from my notepad that I use all the time and they work. Look the same but give them a try? Eradicator ammo cheat giveitem "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/EV2/PrimalItemAmmo_EV2rocket.PrimalItemAmmo_EV2rocket'" 50 1 false Eradicator rifle cheat giveitem "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/EV2/PrimalItem_EV2Rifle.PrimalItem_EV2Rifle'" 1 1 false And here is the Eradicator pick in case you need that as well cheat giveitem "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/Eradicator/PrimalItem_WeaponEradicator.PrimalItem_WeaponEradicator'" 1 1 false
  6. Sigsense, They added this feature the other day. Look on the left side of your control panel and you will see one called "sub users". Click it and you can set up "sub admins" with either full access to the control panel or limited access to the control panel. Currently limited access only has the start, stop, restart and launch buttons but they are adding in the ability to run the ARK updates very soon.
  7. Hey Ryan, Just wanted to give a huge thanks for adding in the sub users. It really is a very nice addition to the overall functionality of survival servers. Once the ability for limited users to run updates is added in (as mentioned above), it should be perfect. Again, thanks for listening to our needs.
  8. Look in your control panel for a section that says "ark update". To the right of that it should say "only when needed". Click the down arrow in that box and select "Yes, run the update". Now scroll to the bottom and click the green button that says "update settings and restart game server". Done
  9. Scott, I don't want your money. What are you needing help with exactly?
  10. In you control panel, you can check to enable automatic restarts. It will then give you a pull down menu to select how often your server restarts.
  11. HarvestAmountMultiplier=50.00000 In your /ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/GameUserSettings.ini
  12. ARKon working fine here on my windows 8.1 box. You might want to completely remove it, download a fresh copy and do a fresh install.
  13. Sorry to be a bother but, is there any update on this?
  14. I'm really not trying to sound offensive here. With as many people who aren't having the issues that you are having with ARKon, I would say that the issue is most likely on your end. What errors are you getting? I understand that you're saying you put in the right info but try these steps maybe? 1. Open ARKon and click on the settings tab 2. Input your RCON info from your survival servers control panel into the server settings area of ARKon 3. Hit the save button just below these details (lower left. not lower right) 4. Click on the name of the profile you just saved. It will be listed on the right side under "server configs" 5. Click the load button under that. 6. Click connect. 7. If that works, you will only have to open arkon and click connect after that. If that doesn't work, try changing your RCON password in the control panel a few times and repeat steps 1-7
  15. Well, Survival Servers recently added a section to the control panel that allows you to very easily add mods. I am only running the eradicator admin tool right now but I used the control panel and it was very easy to do and worked perfect the first time.
  16. Arkon does work and can easily do what you're requesting in this last post. If you log into your control panel, you should see a section called RCON Details. Plug those details into your ARKon and it will work. Once connected through ARKon, you can see all players names and steam64 IDs, you can kick, ban, whitelist or remove from whitelist.
  17. Storm. You have to try things out and learn. Set it to 0 and test it out. If it doesn't work, set it back to 1.
  18. Hey Ryan, Let me start off by saying thank you for the newly implemented control panel features. Really appreciate the effort. There are some really nice additions in there. After playing around with the features, there are a couple of things I would like to give feedback on: 1. When using the "modify server config" to "add levels", I noticed that the levels end at 78 but when I "add levels" the levels then show as 76, 77, 78, 0, 1, 2 etc etc (instead of showing 77, 78, 79, 80 etc etc). Not sure if that is intended or if it's a bug. 2. In the "modify server config", is it possible to uncheck the levels, dino levels, exp, engrams sections at the bottom so that they are not included? I would like to use the new "modify server config" function but my levels etc are all set in my Game.ini and it is working fine. If I were to use the new feature, it would require me to essentially use all of the "modify server config" section which I don't really want to do. Is it possible to make it so that people can uncheck sections to have the server ignore them? 3. I really love the Mod (IDs) section. I tried and tried to install the eradicator admin tool to my server the old way with launch parameters and could never get it to work for some reason. Now, with the Mod IDs section, it works perfectly.
  19. To give other players on your server exp, use the below command: cheat giveexptoplayer <id> <how much> <tribeshared> <preventsharing> You get the <id> by using the ShowMyAdminManager command. Each player will have a 9 digit ID next to their name (this is not their steam64id). <how much> = how much xp to give <tribeshared> and <preventsharing> can be made 0 So, an example would look like this: cheat giveexptoplayer 123456789 1000 0 0 Hope this helps.
  20. I really think that, with the amount of updates this game is going through, having a way for server admins to update the servers without having full access to the owners control panel is very needed. Is there any update on the progress of this feature being implemented? Should be fairly straight forward. The owners control panel can set a admin control panel password. The admin would log in using the owners login name and the admin password. This would take them to an admin control panel for the server that only has buttons to update, start and restart the server.
  21. Thank you for the assistance Ryan. All is now working after the server transfer. I really appreciate the help in getting this problem fixed.
  22. That command line will destroy all dinos on the server of that type. Tamed and untamed.
  23. Thank you for the information Ryan. I assumed that would be all that I would need to save but I really wanted to make sure before my server does get relocated to Dallas. I have now replied to the support ticket requesting that my server be relocated to a Dallas data center.
  24. I was having this issue with it essentially erasing any changes I would make to /ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/GameUserSettings.ini. Someone here in the forums mentioned that you should make the changes to /ShooterGame/Config/DefaultGameUserSettings.ini and that seemed to solve the issue for me. Might want to try that out.
  25. I was having the same problem with difficultyoffset of 1.0. After doing some digging, I found that a lot of people were actually getting the dino levels up by using a diffcultyoffset of 3. I changed mine to 3 and that is exactly what worked. When you change the offset, you might want to use the "cheat destroyall XXX_Character_BP_C" commands for each type of dino. This will kill them all off and when they spawn back in, they should be higher levels.
