here is what i would do. go into your map editor. go exactly to where the center of that building is or as close as you can figure. add a vehicle, like a sign. save the mission. go into your documents/arma2otherprofiles/"yourname"/missions. open the mission file you made and look at the mission.sqf. there will be a location string there. like this ; this setPos [5124.5112, 4870.2642, 1.5258789e-005] then, got to your server pbo. /missions/ "the mission your using/ mission.sqf. do a ctrl.f. paste the string and see if u get a match. if you do, then youve found it. delete it. its clearly not a building that is part of the map. so either its in that mission pbo or u were hacked. ive never seen anything like it, but i play on a locked server.

cool. Ive been playing dayz for some years now. Ive been moderating a private server on dayz.st for a couple of years. We just switched over to Survival servers a month ago or so to get an overpoch server going. I have absolutely no ability to script, but somehow i manage to hack a few mods together on my current server. if i see a topic where i actually know the answer ill help you out. The current project is Overpoch/napf. Were working on fine tuning the loot tables and crafting system. were wanting it to be about an hour from respawn to getting your motorcycle built and getting back to your base, with a moderate chance to die again before you do. We enjoy the hardcore survival aspects of Dayz, try to make it a challenge to survive. not a gift. getting the balance right just takes time.

hmmm. did you find that file throught the ftp? i want to check mine and see if it says regular, should be veteran.

from what i understand its a function of having the game set to rookie difficulty. ill take a look at that file when i have time (found a crafting script today and im going to town on that )

Hello all. I have my server set to Veteran, but that noob ass map marker is always on the map regardless. I would like to go back to needing to find a compass and a gps to have that kind of awareness. Does anyone know how to disable this? thanks.

since its always frustrating when your looking for an answer to something discussed in a forum, and often get left without a conclusion, here is one for you. I am giving up. This mod can only be installed by Survival servers staff for some reason. to the future reader, just pay them the 10 bucks.
