Aberration Expansion Availability

Now, we don't have a date other than "October" for the Aberration expac, and I'd honestly be surprised if WC releases it this month, but I do have a question pertaining to here.

 

How long can we expect it to take after Aberration is officially released before it is made available here as a map option?

 

Will it be a significant amount of time that it will be worth attempting to add is via the custom map option?  Will running the server through the custom map option potentially mess up switching to the option for Aberration when it is added?  Will I blow up something unintentionally?

With any game updates we tend to get them added in within the day of release or the day following. It all depends on if there is any new settings that need to be added or what not. With ark normally its just as simple as updating the back end to run a new parameter line, and calling the right map.

It will be made immediately available for Custom Launch Param users. If you would rather wait for to appear in the drop down map listings, it might be a few hours from release. Who knows! We don't have any clue when it will be released either.
