NickyWang 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2017 I have tried to put in the command ShowFloatingDamageText=True but this has not done anything and I still can't see the dmg. Is there another way I have to do it so I can see the damage my dinos are doing.
Axelth 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2017 The easiest way to enable this setting is to go to your control panel, click on "Modify Server Config" (yellow button), scroll all the way down to the very bottom where you will see a big box called GameUserSettings.ini Custom Code and then in that box copy and paste this: [serverSettings] ShowFloatingDamageText=true Then Save Configuration and restart server. You will now have it enabled.
StevenMacchia 11 Report post Posted July 19, 2017 You can add this option in your custom launch parameters as well with the line ?ShowFloatingDamageText=true
cdpowerman5000 4 Report post Posted July 20, 2017 An important thing to note is that ShowFloatingDamageText=true has to be lowercase true. The case sensitivity makes a difference.
BlackT 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2017 You can add this option in your custom launch parameters as well with the line ?ShowFloatingDamageText=true When I put these commands in like this, it's not being enabled. Do I need to put them all together in one solid line or separate them by making them their own lines?
Pat 11 Report post Posted July 24, 2017 They should be back to back. For example: TheIsland?Multihome=127.0.0.1?Port=27015?QueryPort=27016?SessionName=Aw Yiss?MaxPlayers=10?listen?ServerPassword=heyitsapassword?ServerAdminPassword=heyitsanadminpassword?RCONEnabled=True?RCONPort=27017?AltSaveDirectoryName=SavedArk1337?ShowFloatingDamageText=true
cataleya 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2017 I can't seem to locate where to add custom launch parameters. This would save a LOT of headache for me. In "Modify Game Server Settings", I can change location, map, Ark update, Ark update (automatic), MOD IDs, Server Title, Hosted By, Lock Password, Admin Password, and Restart Interval. Under "Tools", I have Modify Server Config, where there is no field for advanced launch parameters and a very obvious "Advanced Launch Parameters" tool which has nowhere to input commands. It's all check boxes. There is no text field for entering custom launch parameters.

Pat 11 Report post Posted August 21, 2017 Thanks, I always wondered the same. No problem! If anyone ever gets stuck, there are information panels scattered across each of the options on the panel. Clicking that small white icon will reveal more details on what everything does, super useful when you get into custom launch params!
