Farostoli 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2017 I have automatic restarts set every 12 hours, due to updates needed at incredibly inconvenient times for me, and with my server being a one-man operation, I have no other choice. I figure everything will update at each restart, and for a while it was going swimmingly, but as of the last few days, at every scheduled restart, it has failed to notify players prior to the shutdown, instead slamming the proverbial door in their face.But that's not the only problem, when it shuts down, it just stays in "stopped" status, and never actually restarts. Now, I don't know if this is common, and I'd hate to continue pestering the wonderful support staff with another ticket, so I'm curious, is there any information on this, and more importantly, any way to resolve it? If you have Custom Launch Params checked and the password in that box differs from the Admin Password input box then it would not work. Still having issues please submit a support ticket so we can check on your individual server to see what is going on. I don't know of any other passwords on my server that would conflict, but I'm also unfamiliar with running ARK servers in general. I don't believe I have the Custom Launch Params option in use, as any other potentially conflicting features (namely mods) are working well enough. The only problems I've had with those is the occasional deactivation of my mods on my server, rendering any associated assets nonexistent but replaceable. Not sure if that is related, and means I do in fact, have an issue with my Custom Launch Params. I understand mods are an external feature and you can only support so much. I am using an extension to the GameUserSettings.ini per the Control Panel field, I don't remember if that applies, as the last time I saw any mention of the Custom Launch Params selection was on initial setup. I don't know if you are able to shed any light on that, though I can certainly file a support ticket on the matter if necessary. coot 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2017 Hey. My players reported similar issue. I dont have custom launch parameters. The server does not give notifications beforehad of the restart.
