Can I make backups? FTP?

I would like to do daily backups if possible. I remember in the past with Valhiem I was able to FTP world saves onto my hard disk. Is this possible with Palworld?

Edit: I was able to connect to my server via FTP and download the save data. Should I be good from here? How would I go about restoring a backup? I see that option in the control panel, but there are no backups listed. Can I manually FTP a backup onto the server?

This seems to be working for me:

Backups: Just download the Saved directory. downloading with it running seems to be okay.

Restore: Stop the server, rename the remote Saved directory to something else, and then upload your Saved in its place. Then start the server.

where is the saved data on the FTP side of things? i would like to do that too

When you log into the FTP client head into the /Pal and copy the Saved folder. This will have the saved game data and the config file.

To edit/upload/save/delete files via FTP, you will need to connect to your server via an FTP program. To do so, please follow the below instructions:

  1. Stop your server from the panel.
  2. Log in to FTP using WinSCP (a free FTP software) using the connection details found in the "FTP Details" section of the game server control panel.

  1. Download link for WinSCP here http://winscp.net/eng/download.php
  2. Navigate to the directory or file that you want to edit/delete/upload/change.
  3. After you have finished, save your changes and restart your server from the control panel. You do not need to close out the FTP connection to do so, but you will need to close out any open files.

If you have an issues or need further assistance, please check our wiki at FTP Access.
