Enabling Sidechat.

I've been messing around with things trying to find how to turn on the side chat channel, anyone know how and could tell me please thank you!

I installed side chat by logging into the TCAdmin panel -> selecting my server -> selecting the ''Mod Manager'' action -> and clicking a Bliss install option that has "+ side chat" in the name.

 

It might complain that it can't install because you have another version installed. If that is the case then uninstall and install the version you want.

 

Not sure if this is the best method but it worked for me.

This is what i always do

 

1. Unpack your mission PBO.

2. Go to the description.ext file.

3. Open it with notepad++

4. Look for line 9 there you see disableChannels[]={0,2,6};

5. Remove channel 1 (side) if you remove it from this line your channel will be shown.

6. If you want to see people disconnect or connecting remove 6 (system) aswell from line 9.

 

The list of channels are:

 

0 = Global

1 = Side

2 = Command

3 = Group

4 = Vehicle

5 = Direct

6 = System

To install side chat (also applies to care packages, wreckes, etc) - does NOT apply to custom maps that have been manually installed via support ticket (Tavi 2.0, Namalsk latest)

 

1/ Stop server

2/ Edit server.cfg from Configuration Editor

3/ Enable Side Chat option

4/ Go to Mod Manager -> Uninstall Bliss 4.2 Dec 8

5/ Go to Mod Manager -> Install Bliss 4.2 Dec 8

6/ Start server
