Q. Why can't I see my server on the steam list.

A. - Make sure your server files are updated by clicking the ARK update drop down and select Yes, Run update. Wait for it to complete the cycle.

 

- Wait about 5-10 mins to see your server on the list.  I have had a steady 70-90 people online for hours doing these steps.

 

- Make sure your server name only has characters and numbers. Using the following (") (') (#) infront of your server name will cause it to not appear on the server list as of patch 1.601. Staff was already notified and its on the ToDo list.

 

 

Q. My server shows it's offline.

A. Make sure you did not alter the custom launch settings and your server is updated on steam. You might have to update the server a few times. This has happened to me and I solved it by updating the server using the "yes,run update"

 

 

 

Q. My server shows 103 players out of 100.

A. Players on your server have crashed or quit the game using alt+f4. By default, your sever will hold their data in the game waiting for them to return before a set amount of time expires.

Does updating wipe the server?

As of now, you might get a roll back that exceeds 15mins. The ARK Devs should be rolling a fix out for this soon.

 

The method below works fine.
