FartWizard 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2021 Steam server browser. View at the top left, servers, add to favorites by IP, or you can see what seed its using in the games server browser.
Benjamin 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2021 To add on to this question. I was trying to figure out what causes the world(seed) to change. Looks like the world regenerates itself when you change the server title? When you change the server title, does the old world get overwritten? Or is it saved somewhere to use later? Thanks! Heilig 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2021 In English, please. I don't know how to do a Steam query. I can see my servers on Steam in the View -> Servers window. When I look at View Server Info, it shows the title of my server after Map. Is this what you mean by the Map variable?
Ryan Pennington 359 Report post Posted February 17, 2021 No, it is a Steam Query output and is not really a layman's term (nor is it supposed to be) There would be no way to view this outside of that knowledge unfortunately. You are welcome to create a support ticket and we can look that up for you.

They changed how the Map variable passed a few updates back. The only way to get the name of the seed you would need to download your .fwl file and put it in a hex editor eehvCrcQKN j0vTqNebCL
phred 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2021 Try this: https://old.reddit.com/r/valheim/comments/lyckq7/how_to_find_the_world_seed_of_a_server_you_dont/ It worked for me.
Chaos Crafter 1 Report post Posted April 6, 2021 You can use the FTP details to get the .fwl file from the server, then drop the file onto http://valheim-map.world/getseed.html to get the seed.
