anyway to see what seed my server is using?

To add on to this question. I was trying to figure out what causes the world(seed) to change. Looks like the world regenerates itself when you change the server title?

When you change the server title, does the old world get overwritten? Or is it saved somewhere to use later?

Thanks!

In English, please.  I don't know how to do a Steam query.  I can see my servers on Steam in the View -> Servers window.  When I look at View Server Info, it shows the title of my server after Map.  Is this what you mean by the Map variable?

No, it is a Steam Query output and is not really a layman's term (nor is it supposed to be)

There would be no way to view this outside of that knowledge unfortunately.

You are welcome to create a support ticket and we can look that up for you.

Ryan,

My query returns the server name as the map variable:

{'online': True, 'ip': '104.73.175.241', 'port': 4557, 'name': 'UTK Digital Initiatives', 'map': 'UTK Digital Initiatives', 'game': 'valheim', 'description': '', 'players': 3, 'max_players': 64, 'bots': 0, 'password_required': True, 'vac_secure': False, 'server_type': 'Dedicated', 'os': 'Windows'}

Is the name also the seed?

No, it's not. They changed how the Map variable passed a few updates back.

The only way to get the name of the seed you would need to download your .fwl file and put it in a hex editor
