Add this to your gameusersettings.ini file in the server
StructurePreventResourceRadiusMultiplier=1.000000
Change the 1 to say .5 or lower you will have to test this but it should work
I feel your pain on the editor, I tried to open my current map from my server, and it said 'no, I'm not doing that' I'm lost when it comes to this, there is a lot that goes into making these maps. I'm wondering if there isn't one you can download out there.
Maybe Ryan or one of the guys can put out a map option for us - 3x3, 4x4 with trade routes enabled and all that too?
Just wondering but how many servers are you running? I'm running 6 - and if you have 6 that would come close to filling out the current 4x4 grid?
This is why I never use the Atlas ingame search menu to look for my server, I just goto Steam. Click View then goto Server.
From there click on the Favorite tab and add my server IP to Freeport with the port (exmple - 123.123.123.4.1:3827) then hit add favorite.
That is how I connect every time and it goes right through. It will show you (or it does me) that the connection timed out, just ignore that and it will load you in to your server.
In your GameUserSettings.ini folder in your server directory which can be found in Shootergamer/Saved/Config/Windows
At the bottom there is a section where you should see this
[sessionSettings] SessionName=Freeport
Sometimes on my servers it takes a minute to show up the name when you hit ESC but normally it is there. When you first zone in or connect it might not be but it will show up
Welcome to the Family Vip`R. You picked a good host, Ryan and his guys take care of us. They have great response time to tickets and are usually on top of the any issues.
Prices might be a bit higher than others, but on most they are about even. However you get what you pay for.
I have been having way to many issues with having Multi Servers running my map recently - latest was zoning into D4 got an error and my game crashed - logged back in and 70% of my ship was missing.
So at this time I'm just going to run 1 server and custom build my own map.
(solved) So, I destroyed a ship in my little harbor area and now the skeleton of the ship is still there, I can't hit it, no planks or decking attached to it. Any way of getting rid of it, and you can swim / pilot a boat right through it.
(Answer) I guess over time it degrades now I just have a pile of floating pieces of wood where the skeleton was.
I normally don't have an issue but New York for me has horrible, as with another player that lived in Philly on Xinfity ISP - his ping was also 255. I flipped my servers over to Dallas and I'm at a 40 ping and it's running as it should be.
Maybe just the servers I had where bad or had problems then. I think someone should look into that.
