  1. Everything regarding changing stat progression seems to work well also. So I personally would say that you can safely edit the PerLevelStatsMultipliers. But just as a disclaimer, I am only a moderator, and do not speak for Survival Servers regarding technical support issues. But with that in mind, it worked for me, and seems to be working for others, so more than likely we'll have those features built into our modify server config soon to make it easy on everyone.
  2. Awewsome, thanks for that Sara! Why the seemingly random values btw lol? (Just curious) Please feel free to elaborate on specific settings.
  3. I'm sorry, to clarify, I believe Ryan was seeing if you could screenshot the "Modify Server Config" tab that you were saying was empty. That could certainly indicate a misaligned link between your server and the MSC tool. At any rate, this is indeed odd and it has Ryans attention, so we're getting on this one. Just bear with us. =)
  4. I am particularly interested in your observations with ResourcesRespawnPeriodMultiplier=0.500000 Specifically whether or not it affects the meteorite spawn rates.
  5. Right beside the "Restart Interval" dropdown is a very informative ( i ) you can click, that lists all the specific times that the various restart intervals will occur. So, it's not just "This is how to change how often your server restarts" like I myself had initially assumed it would be, it actually breaks it all down for ya. I hope that helps!
  6. Valmora, do you happen to have access to those creature ID's that were used?
  7. Locking this thread as the information in it is fairly complete. Please see the mega-thread for testing and further discussion on these settings.
  8. I have to concur on that, and have just tested the basic XP, Taming and Harvest settings changes via GameUserSettings.ini with success using that particular method. Haven't gotten to the point where I need to drop points into either of the two stats I modified via Game.ini yet, but will check it later this evening and let relay what I've learned.
  9. I don't believe the auto-update should have any bearing on this from what I've seen. I would suggest just putting in a support ticket, as they can help you further from there.
  10. Please do bear in mind that these changes are all considered "untested" by the Server Host, and issues with specific settings changes listed here can generally be fixed yourself by the process of elimination when looking for the setting causing the problem, or by making the changes in very small batches at a time to ensure proper stability and correct usage of these untested settings.S So, as the saying goes, use at your own risk. But please, do let us all know which settings you can confirm as working! I started a thread specifically for "Tested" settings changes, cause it would help out the entire community to know which ones are "confirmed" as working by multiple sources. Such a list does not yet exist for this game. PS: @CPT.EliteWarfare, Thanks for getting things started for us all. =)
  11. There is a known issue where changes to the GameUserSettings.ini file done via the FTP, are reverted whenever you do any "Save form values" type action from within the "Modify Server Config" tool. From what I understand, this is a game issue, not a host issue. In order to maintain changes to the .ini via FTP, you will have to forego making any further changes to the "Modify Server Config" tool, and simply do the "Start Server" action at the top of your Control Panel after having saved your changes in your FTP tool, and disconnecting that tool. If you have further problems with this, I suggest putting in a support ticket.
  12. This is something you will need to put in a support ticket for. You can do this in the top left corner of your control panel, (Not the forums here lol) and someone will check it out and get you fixed up as soon as they can. One thing you can test beforehand though; If it was a "Lock Password" that was the issue, remove the lock password, but make sure you keep an "Admin Pass" in place for your servers safety. The The Admin Pass is the one that defaults to "changeme". Also, there are super useful tooltips in all of the little ( i ) icons next to each entry that help explain everything a little better, if you've already caught them, awesome, I didn't notice them for a bit there, cause I usually ignore such things, but there are a lot of really useful ones.
  13. The scheduled reboot is a trait of the ARK servers, and while the reboot is already present in D&L, the notifications will likely be added in the not so distant future, as the scripting already exists to some extent. The ability to set your own time for those reboots is something the staff here has been working on for some time for both ARK and now D&L, so that one is also already in the cards it seems. The chat window portion of your request is one of the very useful features of the "ARKON" RCON client, which thankfully does support D&L... More or less... We're still waiting for a D&L specific one, (DARKON?) but ARKON does work for the most part. Additionally, if you are running ARKON, you can use it's scripted commands to create a broadcast that repeats every set number of minutes. For instance, a welcome message that broadcasts every 2 hours listing the PvP or building rules, your discord server, and your scheduled restart time. This particular feature is actually quite easy to set up as well. A save preset for the .ini configs is a hell of a suggestion, and I for one am also quite intrigued with the idea. As for performance monitoring, as a PC guy that's spent a lot of time digging in parts more than code, I have no idea the complete complexities of setting up something that extensive for each and every server they have. That's the type of feature that would have to effectively be rolled out as it's own process though rather than run through the game's engine or the steam.cmd, and as such there may would even have to be a separate process for each server instance on each machine in order to provide information on a server by server basis as you describe, and would likely require ground up programming to create it. (And that doesn't even touch the performance impact it could very well have with so many instances running on all the virtual boxes btw!) So, with that in mind, while an amazing idea, and very forward thinking, I personally wouldn't want to touch that project with a 10 foot polearm. But, I love the way you think!
  14. Does this specific replacement only work for some? or would this replacement be considered a "use this method every time" kind of thing?
  15. I'll see what I can do to help you out there. Thanks a ton for the response here. =)
  16. Personally Confirmed Settings The following settings, I myself have fully tested personally, and can confirm work on my server. (GameUserSettings.ini) DayTimeSpeedScale=0.900000 NightTimeSpeedScale=1.500000 XPMultiplier=2.000000 TamingSpeedMultiplier=3.000000 HarvestAmountMultiplier=1.500000 (Game.ini) PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[2]=1.500000 PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[4]=1.500000 PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[5]=1.500000 (Food, Water and Constitution, in no particular order. Would have to recheck which was which.)
  17. As with any new title, there is a Ton of testing still to be done. Your help could take a bit of that testing load off of our awesome server hosts! If you have found any of the ARK settings that you can Confirm work properly, please list them in this thread. I would like to get multiple confirmations for any given server setting that has been tested. Please note that each individual setting must be tested independently to be considered confirmed as working, rather than tested in bulk. There isn't very much information out there about confirmed settings just yet, as the wiki is even still drying its wings, so any confirmed testing done here would be a serious boon to the D&L community as a whole. Lets get all scientific method on this game folks! =) Here's an FTP guide to get started: https://www.survivalservers.com/forum/index.php?/topic/1479-lrn2ftp-beginners-guide-to-ftp/
  18. I hear that Ryan. I really hope they can get on that sooner rather than later too. It should really be a lot easier with the groundwork already laid out for them from ARK too. And I'm Really worried that they're going to put it off 'Because' it's an "easy task" that can just be done whenever... Also, @Ryan Pennington, would you be able to give us a rundown on what needs to be done on the developers end before you "can" update the Server Config tool? I'm sure there's more to it than just wanting a proper wiki available, as it's certainly easy enough to just test a handful of functions from ARK, and put in the ones that work. So I'm sure that there's legit plenty more reasons you aren't taking that approach, but I know that a number of people are saying "It's easy, just copy ark settings", so making a thread to address the actual reasons could help quell those. Trust in us oh master of servers, we understand a lot more about programming these days than in the days of yon forefathers! Also, I'm pretty good at translating techie into layman. =)
  19. Just bear in mind when testing it that important tidbit where if you're in a clan with your brother, it will seem like you're not able to damage each other, and deal only torpor instead.
  20. - snicker - Yeah, I can't wait till there's more information out there for the game, including the full item and creature databases. It's getting there though!
  21. setmessageoftheday <message> (no brackets) I'm not sure if it requires the "admincheat" prefix or not though, as you can totally just use the "cheat manger<sic>" in your admin manager tool in game lol
  22. Currently, the PvP / PvE setting is not functioning properly, and does not prevent PvP on servers. As such, clanmates still receive torpor damage from attacks, and those not in your clan will still receive physical damage, as per the PvP rules for the base game. This PvP / PvE issue was supposed to have been addressed in a hotfix prior to the big patch, but seems to still be broken on the developers end of things, so we will likely see this addressed fairly soon, as this is a hugely game altering condition. Time will tell, but I suggest adding the PvE rules for your server in your servers MotD for those connecting from outside of your personal group.
  23. first, open your console > then type in "enablecheats <your password>" no brackets... (use the password you set up in your Survival Servers panel, default: "changeme") > then to see your admin manager, reopen the console and type "showmyadminmanager" ... For specific commands such as setting the time of day, use in the console and type in "admincheat settimeofday ##:##" For example, to change it to 5:30am in game, open the console and type; "admincheat settimeofday 05:30", or for 3:45pm, "admincheat settimeofday 15:45", as the game uses 24hr time. If you have a player that has accidentally left their clan and wants their tames back, you would use "admincheat givetome" to give you the tame, then just unclaim it as normal. I hope any of this helps! =)
  24. It seems that PvE is not fully implemented on the server side of things. We have our PvE flag set as well, and have labeled the server as PvE in our name, so until they finish it up, it looks like us admins are relegated to enforcing the law regarding such matters. I personally would suggest setting the rules up in your MotD, then just come down with an iron fist on infractions to prevent things from getting out of hand, under the notion that warnings were already provided in said MotD. On our ARK cluster server, the daily restart time is listed, so we leave losses due to server outage during the daily restart on the player, as otherwise it would be nearly a daily whining session of "I lost this because of your restart!" The one solution I've come up with thus far for that particular issue is using ARKON to display an hourly scripted message notifying players of the restart time. Perhaps you could do the same to issue hourly or every other hour reminders of the PvE nature of the server for a time. If you like / need, I can show you the setup for such, though I recall you saying that you've been admining for a while, so you probably already know how to set such up. =)
  25. Fair enough lol. I hate having to use the FTP as well, so totally with you there.. =p
