Apems, I think Maevrim is right and you might be better off asking over on Steam. But, I tried getting speed up on crafting too, set it back today when my server finally came up. I think I read it's one of the funny ones, one if you set the number higher, it gets slower and think I read something like a .3 or a .1 would be faster. But again, it might be turned off for now. It's like all this time I keep reading about shield damage, people keeping more than one in their inventory, and I thought, then why don't I ever have to repair mine. You have to use the right mouse button to use the shield, it isn't an auto thing, apparently. My encumbrance is going to be less now, lol. There is a learning curve to all of this and then they'll change it ;p Edit: From a steam page. As an afterthought for those that want to play with the settings. I just redid mine and changed the settings back to vanilla (I thought I had crafting speed faster, but think I actually slowed it down and I respawned resources faster as well as got more from gathering), which you can do easy, just by opening your modify server config button and doing the reset configuration. Just remember, every time you do this you need to reset your password, if you use one. It won't change your admin password, but it will the password for you and others to join the server. At some point wiki should have a guide for these settings and what they do, they may now, I haven't looked. Some are a no brainer and others are a little confusing.

Yes. Tried to join it twice and it took me to black screen. Went back to the panel, changed a setting (didn't really need to) and hit the save button. Flash came up saying wait a little and it was done very fast. Hit the restart server with the update/validate box marked, got the flash saying might take 20 minutes, it was done in 4. Server status was loading, refreshed the screen maybe 2 times, waiting a little between, server flashed ready. Joined the game with a ping of about 106, which is fine for where I live and all is as I left it in Paleo World. Going to redo the settings, wipe the world, go to default, here in a minute, but as I said things look good again. Hope everybody else is up or gets up soon.

The twitter link on your server page is the only thing we hear officially. Once in awhile someone shares a ticket response, but they are few.

That's ok, crack a Lone Star when you get home for me, I don't live in Texas anymore. (I didn't really drink Lone Star, but I tasted it a couple 6 times, or more. ;p)

If you noticed the latest tweet from SS, they mention the cpu spikes.

Dude, you're not gone yet? It's one thing for me to wait it out, I have no player base to speak of. Hope they can fix it for you, I really do. I'm sure you tried a previous save.

Exactly why I'm with Conan and not playing ARK. I like sandbox builders, didn't like the constant daily ARK chores, and want more end game content, for lack of better words. Can't wait for modders to get in and do their thing as well.

What's your status BennyP, you still up?

As in, nothing on it, need a new toon, no buildings, I am a virgin? I think check marking the "clean save folder" box will do it, but hang on a bit, some good people here that know more than I do. If I ever get it up again, I'm going to do this too.

I asked this over at steam and only got one reply with an idea. Some kind of tribe that comes with sand storms and we assume not friendly. Which would mean defenses would be a good idea, even on a PvE setting or soloist type game. I like the idea, hope he was right.

but the longer I'm down, the higher my beer bill will be. It would be cheaper for SS to kick me with a refund, then pay my beer tab. Even with forecast long term use by me and the lil Lady. Still drinking coffee, but that will change soon on this fine new day. I keep muttering get it up and she tells me to stand still. I know if I stand still it won't help them get the server up, silly girl. Can you tell I'm bored? Pretty soon I'll start telling Woodstock stories, but I need a few beers first. I'll be back.

Checking my Clean Save Folder, one time, when I can restart should fix any corrupted save files, yes? I was pretty buggy last I played and as I said else where, we need to start fresh.
