  1. My server has been down for days. I have gotten one ticket answer and it didn't work. Now I can't even log onto my control panel and still no reasons why, nor even a sorry. Cancel my account, this is the second time with Ark here, and I should have known better.
  2. The Wife and I play mainly on our Ragnarok cluster. I updated it using the Halloween option, all was well. Had fun scrambling to get the drops, avoiding the damn bats when I could. Servers are at version 273.56 and have been for a while, however, according to Steam forum officials are at 273.6. I don't understand why I'm not. I'm not panicked yet and drops are still giving skins and still seeing some I didn't have, which is great. I don't want it to end, yet. I'm kind of wondering if this is by WildCards design, as some of the skins are not Halloween at all, but are seasonal. Except those damn bats. At some point I would expect my servers to update and at some point they better, because my game client won't let me on. I sure hope like hell there is a way to get this done without doing what digicyc (post above) is saying to get it right again.
  3. The "one time toggles" in your control panel? If you hit the "i" to see what they do? It check marks the box to do it. Stop that. I had no idea it did it, lost a ton of work because of it. Not a happy camper. I still have no idea why it took me back as far as it did on a restore, it shouldn't have. But what ever the hell I had check marked, it did a major number on all I did this morning.
  4. Did it, cluster, excellent references for what can be done. Thank yous.
  5. Wow, thank you, both, good information in one spot.
  6. I'm damned ecstatic that a "woman" tech replayed. Hell, back when I knew about school and a computer subject was taught, there was but one in the class room. They were taking out IBM reel to reels in the other room and we still had punch cards, I dated myself and her.(DEC 20) So pleased to see you. But that still doesn't help me with a basic game problem, It is not clear to me. I can have one toon on a cluster, I can have one toon on the main, different maps, are you saying, I can go between?, on one account? Am I just moving gear or am I moving the whole toon? Thank you for your very fast response to my ticket, I couldn't figure out why the lack of forum response, been a while since I have been here. Good luck and I'm sure you will do well. thanks
  7. Is there a ping difference? I do understand it isn't like a separate box, one in the bathroom, the other in the kitchen. But still... I suppose the same rules (game bound) still apply. One server, one toon. If I have a toon on a server, I can't bring another to the same server? I do have two Steam ARK accounts, maybe it's time to dust it off. What a cluster allows me to do is, less the hassle with the set up, .... what's good for one, is good for the other, if that's what I want, all under one log in, one control panel. But, if I choose to have them different, I can. Understood, nice. I kinda understand why no price break adding a cluster, but don't. Maybe because no one else is, maybe because it's cost prohibitive. But there are more than two maps I'd like to be playing and at this price, I'm not even sure I want the cluster. Any ways, thanks for any comments, official or not, I'd like to make my mind up soon. Tonight would be nice.
  8. Drop them a ticket, I know they're working on what I mentioned, but hopefully they'll take the time to get you up and running.
  9. and it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be, but bad enough. Now I get to figure out reloading my server from a previous save.
  10. I don't know why. 2 things to always, always, always do, often, at least after every patch. When you restart your server, choose the update/validate option. Validate your steam game files, using steam. Make sure you're in lock step. Give steam a good long time to search for your server. It is a painful wait sometimes, but favorites works now, so mark it. You should be able to search for your server on steam. I forgot the exact process, but you can do it without being in the game. I never connected doing it this way, but things were screwy back then, only recently the favorites would work. For some reason my server has an unknown status today. First time I have had any trouble since the great melt down. Just found this in my spam folder of my mail. Now I know why I'm unknown. NOTICE: Game Server IP:Port Transfer "Hello We are writing you this email to inform you that your game server is being transferred to a new machine. ** Server is experiencing hardware failure. Need to move ASAP. Many apologies for this inconvenience **" I sure hope this includes my previous saves, it would be a serious blow to not have them. Funcom screwed up royally with the last patch.
  11. Oh boy, hope this goes smooth. Server updated fine (I guess), but going to take me over 8 hours, per machine, to see the results.
  12. Yes it works but,,,,,, It doesn't remember the information between game sessions, which isn't good. So, this won't work for me and favorites isn't working either. Long wait times for my server to be found. I suppose at some point in time they'll get it fixed or think it through.
  13. Ahhh! Okay, I was thinking I had to get that port 21, which is listed on our page, in there. Did the trick, thank you very much.
  14. Ya, I understand that, I was afraid I wasn't clear enough.... when you start the game and you're waiting for your server to pop up, the very bottom left of the page is a new button "Direct Connect" and it asks for IP, port and password of the server you want. But, you have only one line for the IP and port numbers. You can just addon the port on the end of the IP number?
  15. New feature and a welcome one if I can get it to work. Waiting for steam to sort through and find my server is painful at times. I hope this goes aways in solving that. It asks for the IP and port, do I just add the 21 to the end of my IP number? No breaks or special periods or the like?
