Sorry to hear that T... That's kind of why I set March 1st as my go live date as given all of the possible issues on both sides, vendor and developer, it would be best for stability. Plus it lets me line out my rules and the type of community Inwanted to build so fortunately this doesn't affect me much, but really sorry to hear how it is effecting yours.

I am having problems as well now starting. Been hung in 'starting' state for the past 45 minutes. Opened a ticket though.

Update the server so I can connect Bennie . NM no longer getting the incompatible version now getting a pasword screen .

Go to server settings in your client after connecting, click make me an admin, enter the admin password. All of the settings should appear now in that window and you should be able to change it there without needing to restart the server. That is actually a better way to do it than through the SS control panel.

Eh it happens I figure we'll have to restart every couple of months anyways due to patching.

Well it could have had something to do with my son exiting the game stuck in a floor. All I know is that with the old save I even had problems starting the server, bout half the time it would fail to start and just hang halfway through.

Just found out my save was broken by today's patch. If after updating your server you are having problems connecting or functioning in general you may have to erase your save folder by selecting the option in the control panel and restarting your server. Once I did that everything worked fine. Welcome to early access.

Have you looked in the server settings window in game?

Use the Steam server list under View -> servers.

I have also noticed it also depends on what you have going in the background and the CPU affinity. My wife whose computer is identical to mine get absolutely no lag or freezing, I get it all the time. I suspect it is due to the antivirus and anti malware I have running in the background and haven't taken the time to turn off and test.

Then you need to ask her 'But then how and I supposed to murder you while you sleep and take all your stuff?' That shoud win you some points.

I would log it at the Steam bug report forum for the game then.

Check in the server settings once you have connected to the server and made yourself an admin using the admin password. You can actually change everything there and I don't believe any of them require a server restart (though I could be wrong).

Silly question, how is this a Survival Servers issue? Sounds more like a list server for the game issue. My suggestion to test this add an admin password, connect to the server, make yourself an admin under server settings and then set the name from there (since you can change all of the server settings in game through that menu). If it still exists then you know it is a Conan Exiles problem.

So I figured I would put together an FAQ for Conan servers which I can update as I go since I have been experimenting with different settings and functions each night. I hope to have a fairly complete one and keep it updated as changes come about. If you have any additional server administration questions let me know and I will research them as I can. Commonly Asked Questions Q: I cannot see my server in the ingame browser Currently there appears to be an issue with the ingame browser limiting how many servers display in the list, and the filters appear not to properly function at this time. The present workaround and best solution at this time appears to be to, in Steam, go to View -> Servers at the bottom of the server list that pops up set the 'Game' filter to "Conan Exiles". Let the list finish updating, (there will be between 1500 and 2000 servers roughly) and find your server by name in the list (you can sort by server name by clicking the column labelled 'Servers' in the view). At this point you can highlight the server, right click, select 'Add to Favorites' so you can always find it more easily, and then click connect to connect to the server. Q: Whenever I attempt to join my server it just takes me straight to the main menu instead of connecting me to the server This is usually caused by your client and server version not matching. The way to correct this is to go into steam and update your client, then on the Survival Servers control panel under 'Modify Server Settings' go to the 'Server Update' setting and select "Yes, run update/validate" then go to the bottom of the control panel and select 'Save Settings and Restart'. Bet they are doing it through the command line to prevent say a 20 player server such as my own from just going in and setting it to say a 70 player server. Which I mean makes sense. I think while you can increase the slot size from the 'upgrades' section of the control panel you have to open a support ticket for them to reduce it.

FTP in and edit the engine.ini to do: MaxPlayers=40

REMEMBER TO DO THIS: Go into your server control panel and select: "Yes Run Update/Validate" next to the server update selection. Then at the bottom select "Save Settings and Restart Server" They patched the game and server last night, so servers that were gotten BEFORE the patch at about 7pm CST need to be patched so they appear as valid servers in the ingame browser, and so you can actually connect to it via Steam. As soon as I updated all of the issues I had seeing and connecting to mine went away. Hope this helps people and survival servers thanks for the great service.

I just wish someone would step in and say 'yup, we see the problem, it was caused by this, here is what we are doing to fix it, and here is the ETA for the fix'. It would be one thing if it is say 2 of us with duplicate IPs and ports but it's up to like 5 or 6 now and we're the ones who care enough to post on the forums.

Yeah, looks like they setup several servers today with identical IPs and ports. 45.35.132.78:10077 and 10078
