  1. There is no annunaki.ini. As with any mod, if you want to make changes it's still through the game.ini and gameusersettings.ini
  2. If you want to adjust settings that aren't available in the control panel through the website, you have to manually edit the files and transfer them to your server via FTP. I believe there are instructions for how to do this in the forums.
  3. You only need the devkit if you need the string names, which can be found in easier formats on websites. The 242 update allows server admins the ability to customize loot drops using the ini config files rather then having to rely on a mod or having to cook their own changes with the devkit. Information can be found here. http://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/10/350532536100692514/ They give an example of how to build a loot table at the bottom of that post, which you put in your game.ini
  4. This is just how some mods work, they automatically lock things when players log off. Your only option is to find a different mod that doesn't do this.
  5. Unfortunately whether a new command option is activated via command line or config file is a decision made by the game developers. Host providers have no ability to change how it functions. Once you figure out how to use the custom command line option and editing your ini files yourself and using FTP, it really is a better way to handle managing your server, it gives you much more control.
  6. @almostsurely, You do not need to have any of your players transfer their characters when switching maps, only their dinos and a handful of items if you want to allow them to do that. After you switch the map all characters, upon first connecting, will spawn in as if they have just died. They'll need to pick a map spawn location and will have nothing in their inventories. They will retain all levels, stats, engrams, etc. All tamed dinosaurs and structures will be removed and players will need to make their way to one of the obelisks to transfer in anything they may have moved off the old map. Best of luck! Our players have been very happy with the switch.
  7. Ryan, Wondering if this was still a planned feature? I've players that would like to donate as well, and it would certainly be nice if it could just be directly to the host, one less thing I have to deal with. Another option would perhaps be to accept Paypal, pardon my ignorance if you already do accept Paypal, I didn't go check. Thanks. EDIT: Ok, I went and looked, you do take Paypal so can just outsource this to another service, nevermind.
  8. How old is your server? It sometimes takes awhile to get put into the server index to my understanding.
  9. You need to not only remove the player and tribe profiles, but also the current map save file. Depending on which map you are running, should be TheIsland.ark, TheCenter.ark, etc.
  10. Not a problem Ryan. Also, in case anyone needs the information, below is a link to the current fix for being able to transfer dinos and items between TheIsland and TheCenter maps. Every player on your server will need to do this to be able to see the dinos and items they put in the Ark Obelisk. Further, putting items in the Ark seems to be bugged right now and if you put in too many, they will vanish. It seems the current recommended limit is around 140, but I'd say tell your players 100 just to be safe. http://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/357286663670325420/ This fix should not be needed after the next game update, and as mentioned before, the Devs have stated that anything left in your Ark when this update occurs will be lost.
  11. Just to clarify, since we just got done doing this switch, you will not keep the gear you have on your inventory when switching maps. Your character will retain their level, stats, learned engrams, etc., but any gear that you have in your inventory will vanish. When you load into the new map, it will be as if you died and you have to spawn in at a new point. Your dinos will also not follow you to the new map, unless you upload them to an obelisk and then download them again after the switch, and even this is bugged right now and your players will have to go through an extra step (file edit on their drives) so that their local Ark data shows up for transfer after the map switch. It's very messy right now. If you switch to a new map, decide you don't like it, and switch back, your buildings and such will be saved on the old map save file, but you will still lose the gear you had in your inventory. Stuff you kept in storages on the old map should still be there when you revert back, but the only way to move dinos and items back and forth between a map switch is to have the players use the obelisks for transfer. There is a developer note on reddit right now that they are aware that they messed up with TheCenter becoming official and did not use the same local profile save data for them. They intend to release a fix for this sometime this week, and in the notes they mention that ANY dinos or items left in the obelisk when this update occurs will be lost.
