How to save data before an ARK update
Secksi replied to Ryan Pennington's topic in ARK: Survival Evolved (PC)
Saveworld has been working on our server. We use it before updating and haven't had issues with rollback. However, that doesn't help at all when the servers keep randomly stopping or restarting. -
Having the same problem the server has been down 5 hours now. Need some response.

I am having the same issue. Getting really tired of the servers not working. Ticket #522481

Horrific lag and server randomly stopping

As if the server knew i was posting, it just stopped for no apparent reason leading to a huge almost 2 hour rollback. This is horrible. -
The lag has been steadily getting worse on my server the last few days. With players rubberbanding all over the place. Even with resetting the servers for updates its not ever getting better. Given the nature of this game crashes and reset are taking a huge toll on my player base because people are losing their characters, dinos, and supplies. Is there any fix incoming for stability because other servers aren't having this problem?

Does updating wipe the server? Is there any action that does?
Secksi replied to Aahz's topic in ARK: Survival Evolved (PC)
Any reset seems to cause a 10-15 roll back. Also anyone who is playing on a "downloaded" will lose their character if they don't go to an obelisk and re-upload before any reset. -
I am pretty sure that is a SS fluff account. It was just made and made 5 posts about how amazing they are. I have a feeling its a horrible attempt to make us think their servers are actually working for some people. Last I checked (and you can check cause they brand their servers) there were two survivalservers ark servers showing on the steam server list but neither of them can be joined.

Re: Server panel shows the wrong port for my server
Secksi replied to gravvy's topic in ARK: Survival Evolved (PC)
No it appears to be an issue with joining a game through the steam server browser for some players. I get an entirely different loading screen if I join through the steam server browser than I do if I join from the in game browser. It just sits at loading forever, which is a major problem since a lot of us can't see but a handful of servers in game even though steam server list shows hundreds. -

Estimated time of private servers after release
Secksi replied to grimm74's topic in ARK: Survival Evolved (PC)
Apparently my NY server was relocated to Los Angeles last night. Which is fantastic, I love buying an east coast server for an east coast group of people only to end up trying to play on the west coast. I say trying because even though I now have a panel it is useless. I pulled up the panel, named my server, set it to steam update and set a password then hit the "update settings and restart the server button", then waited 45 minutes for the server to sit at started, then it finally went to started with the default settings again after an hour or so, now I can't stop the server, I can't update it again, nothing is responding. Sorry for the terrible run on sentence but I am frustrated. -

Any update on when all of us with the white screen issue will have a functioning server? -

This link takes me to a blank white page. I have to say I am regretting not going with bluefang. -
I can't access my server from the panel
Secksi replied to Secksi's topic in ARK: Survival Evolved (PC)
Same here in chrome and firefox, in IE i get 500 error. I assumed it was because the servers werent up earlier but now apparently it is working. -
I ordered a server and paid for it hours ago. Now you are emailing and tweeting and posting here that servers are up yet i still get a 500 error when trying to access my server from the panel. I can't change any settings or even see the name of the server I supposedly have.
