where is the saved data on the FTP side of things? i would like to do that too

When you log into the FTP client head into the /Pal and copy the Saved folder. This will have the saved game data and the config file.

To edit/upload/save/delete files via FTP, you will need to connect to your server via an FTP program. To do so, please follow the below instructions:

    1. Stop your server from the panel.
    2. Log in to FTP using WinSCP (a free FTP software) using the connection details found in the "FTP Details" section of the game server control panel.

    1. Download link for WinSCP here http://winscp.net/eng/download.php
    2. Navigate to the directory or file that you want to edit/delete/upload/change.
    3. After you have finished, save your changes and restart your server from the control panel. You do not need to close out the FTP connection to do so, but you will need to close out any open files.

If you have an issues or need further assistance, please check our wiki at FTP Access.

If it's a Palworld problem then why will it not let me connect via FTP? all that should be is showing me the files on the server that SHOULD be able to be connected to without the game.

The FTP issue could of been from when we tested a back end server restart to test a fix. That problem should now be fixed up as our FTP service more than likely did not restart after that.

  3. I believe Ryan is looking to add more options to the panel soon. However you should be able to manual edit this feature within the FTP client currently.

Wish I could say the same from my experience. We lost player data twice now.... I am tired of this lack of communication. This post captured the process of how things should be handled perfectly. We lost hours of our time...

It seems like player data is just missing but not fully. Some areas of the map are still discovered as it was before but all progress is gone, this indicates that something is missing. Please implement or offer a fix like other platforms are currently doing

If you still have this issue I can try to find any missing data on our system.

  5. If you are seeing an issue with the restore feature please let us know in a ticket as we can double check for errors. The caches should be populating the restore for those times. If a restore is not pushing back to your server also let us know as we can try a manual restore to get the data back.

  6. The panel restores currently back up 4 times a day. Currently palworld itself does not create its own backups. If we are doing maintenance we will process a backup manually for the panel before proceeding unless it is a hardware failure where the data is not able to be accessed.

They very clearly give the server 8gb of RAM.  This is the bare minimum and I haven't seen it actually scale with a higher tier/slot count.  You can try to accommodate the low specs by reducing the amount of items allowed to spawn on the ground.. but you shouldn't NEED to if the server was spun up with an adequate amount of RAM.  I'm seeing roughly 3gb is needed per player to ensure a stable and playable experience.  I moved hosts because this is ridiculous.

We currently do not limit the ram or cpu usage like many other host. If your server is showing 8gb of ram that is what your server is requiring at that time. If you still see any issues we are happy to assist in getting problems fixed up in a ticket.

I believe the automated backup restore feature is currently non functional via the server control webpage. There is a bug where the automated manager is creating a restore.zip file in the servers saved folder, however; the restore.zip file is completely empty and does not overwrite the existing files.

Its a known issue for everyone and we're all hoping for a fix soon.

In the mean time, I've just been creating a manual backup until this issue is fixed.

I will get this to Ryan so that he can look into it for a fix.
