As this modifies dlls in game we need to do a security audit before allowing this mod. FTP does not provide access to uploading DLLs at this time. We would be adding this addition as an official supported mod install in the future if it is requested enough and safe.
This also appears to be Linux only at this time?
EDIT: We've released Valheim+ support
AFAIK typing Save from the command line in F5 does nothing.
UPDATE: This has been changed in subsequent Valheim updates. You can now type save in F5 menu as Admin to save on the fly.
Please submit a ticket so we can see what's going on. It's an isolated issue to machines under overly heavy load (auto) or crashing due to the game. Either way, a support ticket will likely solve the issue (this thread is just to keep posts organized)
It 100% does work and is the main method everyone is using (including other hosts) to join the game.
If you are having trouble I suggest opening a support ticket and providing a video or screenshots of whatever issue you are having.
Geforcenow? This is a Steam feature. You go in to Steam.
"First open up the server list from within Steam"
Just to be 100% clear this absolutely will NOT work.
The .db/.fwl file located in FTP is read only and available for downloading, not uploading.
The only present way to upload a local save is via the .zip upload method directly on the control panel (Local Save Upload feature)
First go to your Valheim game server control panel and access the FTP main directory.
If this does not work, you can use our FTP guide to access via an FTP client.
Then, follow our guide on our wiki!
