I've dealt with Survival Servers and Arma 2 dedicated servers a ton, and this usually happens for two main reasons: The automatic installer choked: Sometimes the host's script fails to pull all the directories from SteamCMD during the initial setup. Log into your game panel, look for a 'Reinstall' or 'Update' button, and let it run again completely without touching anything. Missing Launch Parameters: Even if the @DayZ and @Hive folders are there (or after you manually upload them), the server won't load the mod if the startup command line isn't explicitly told to do so. Go to your Startup/Launch parameters in the Survival Servers control panel. Make sure your -mod= line actually includes them. It should look something like: -mod=@Arma2OArpc;@DayZ;@Hive; (depending on their specific folder structure). A quick tip on uploading your own files: Arma 2 is incredibly picky about file capitalization (especially on Linux-based servers, though SS usually uses Windows). If your old folders are named @dayz instead of @DayZ, the server might just ignore them entirely. If a clean reinstall from their panel doesn't generate the @DayZ and @Hive folders automatically, definitely open a support ticket with them, because their template for Arma 2 might be outdated or broken on their end. Hello, I just bought an Ark Evolved server for PS4 version about an hour ago. I completed my settings and went to start it but it is not starting. This is very upsetting as I just spent for it to not even work. Please help. I press start server and it just reloads the website and the server stays offline. I have already tried forcing the update people have said to do but it does nothing!

I like the focus on less grinding and more PvP since that's what keeps the action going. The 6-man limit and 24/7 raiding should make for some competitive fights without massive zergs taking over. Looking forward to seeing how the community develops and it's always good to see admins open to feedback. Might have to check this one out.

I keep just getting Fatal Error:  Crashdump written to: C:\Users\<Name>\Beacon-Launcher-Windows-x64-v0.3.108\app\ue4s\crash_2026_06_21_19_13_30.3623269.dmp I threw it into Claude and said it was related to the mods. Did anyone even test this? it is extremely disappointing that I paid for a server and can barely even use it...
