I need help do not know if it is server or steam error and steam not responding.I am crashing to desk top and I contacted steam with no luck at 7 am this morning when my game loads it get to the part to go into game then crashes to desk top please look at the attach file for full details of the crash thanks

I was getting the same thing. Found out my server had mods that where crashing it. Mainly I had to remove the Dragon one and the gate one.

Yeah, it's usually either one of two things:

 

Mods

or

Validate your game files - Sometimes they become corrupt on either your end, or the server's end. When you choose update, also choose update and validate (for server end).

here's what i had to do, and it was a prev post a Mod responded to,

 

in short.

stop the server.

FTP into using your prefer program. (i use total commander)

copy your savedxxxxx folder to your computer, so you don't loose backups.

move up directories until you find content and go into it.

go into Mods

delete the files & folders in it. DO NOT delete the mods folder itself tho, this will take time, get food, drink, bathroom break, etc.

disconnect your ftp when the delete mods is done.

 

log into your sspanel.

change ark update to yes, run update/validate.

save settings & restart at bottom of page.

this may take more than 20min, depending on how many mods you have, and the size of files to redownload.

ps, you have have to delete the contents of your save folder. but copy your gameuser & game config files before doing this.
