Server Restart Question

Recommended Posts

So I've noticed that at a certain time during the night the server goes down, but there's no in-game countdown or otherwise notification that the server is going down. It also doesn't seem to restart on its own after it does. Just a sudden stop in the middle of the gameplay and everyone gets kicked.

As that's not ideal, I was wondering, do the scheduled restart intrevals (currently every 12 hours for my server) give notification when the server is going down? Also, is it supposed to automatically restart after it does?

I ask because I know when I manually update and restart the server it gives an in game countdown at 10 and 5 minutes til the server goes down, which is great because it gives people a heads up and time to get somewhere safe or find a good stopping point.

Also, this setting:

A little ambiguous, so if it says Disable, does that mean it's currently on, or off?

Please advise, because the sudden and unexpected stop of the server is typically resulting in a longer than expected restart time, which is significantly impacting gameplay and uptime. Would like the server to be down for as little as possible ideally.

Thank you,

Yes they should give notifications, save, and restart (meaning fully started back up again)

If not, please create a support ticket and we'll take a look.

That setting means ARK Update on restart/start is disabled, so it will not check for an update on start/restart.
