Custom Subdomain Setup Question

I've been following these instructions from the wiki to setup a custom subdomain for my Valheim server.

However, I don't use Cloudflare as my DNS provider as of now. My domain happens to be on Namecheap.

I seem to have been able to set up the A and SRV records the same way. To me it looks like it's correctly done. The problem is that by the end of it, Valheim just isn't able to connect. I get the "Failed to Connect" message when I try to join IP in the Valheim launcher.
