I've seen no discussion on how to transfer a local save from a world you and your friends were already working on to your new server. I hope that my figuring this out will save others some time. The process is quite simple, first you will need to contact support and request full ftp access so that you may remove the files within the servers premade world, in other words you will need to delete the data within the servers default world not the world itself. Once you have done this you may transfer over the data from your desired local save into the servers default world file. You cannot replace the entire worlds folder on the remote site because the server will continue to create and use the default world so all you can do is replace the save data within that folder. There is 1 limitation I have found and that is you cannot transfer over player data from the local world aside from your own, this is because player data is saved server side and not locally so your friends player data will be lost. Hopefully I explained this well enough and it helps.

Is it possible to get a copy of the last server save file when my rental ends ?

Hi Sorry if this has Been asked/ answered before but i must of missed it. I was hoping there is away that i can create auto back up saves? I currently Know that it creates a backup every time the server restarts, as mine is currently set to 12hrs, But i would like it to back up every Hour or so. Or if this is not possible,is there a ingame command where i can save the server to prevent any mishaps when i start cleaning up the server and delete something by mistake? (like all structures) Thank you in advance

ive been using FTP to manually save local copies of my world state for my server, i generally just download the entire "saved" folder to my local disk, however this process takes a lot longer then id like (probably just my download speed) but either way id like too know if anyone either backs it up differently( like a different way to back it up) so it will go faster or if they just simply download a specific set of files. help would be great!
