yes you can edit you can even clear the entire map your stuff will still stay. itll just be floating in the ocean if you move the island editing maps doesnt destroy progress.

mine allows me to pull resources from the ship box but doesnt start the little slider mini game its supposed to. it even says in the tutorial left click to repair but all that does is smack things and nothing else.

i had another post where i posted the fixed that worked for me " i figured it out for anybody who is having trouble i stole this from atlas forums and it worked immediately " I removed the URLs from the ServerGrid.json using Notepad++ , you can just use notpad .. "MapImageURL": "http://arkdedicated....tlaspreview.jpg", "MetaWorldURL": "http://atlasdedicate...wBma/ServerGrid", so they look like "MapImageURL": "", "MetaWorldURL": "", Works fine for me ... For some reason, the latest version map editor when removing those URLs in the server edit, didnt actually remove them from the ServerGrid.json Doing this will force it to use the cached version of the image which is accurate, but if you wipe the server, it will show in server info screen as explored until you login so it will update" no idea why this worked but it did immediately"

I'm running out of ideas here ive followed all the tutorials added them in using an FTP editor and the control panel and i just cant get the in game map to work. Has anybody else had any luck? support seems powerless to help me theyve uploaded it themselves several times and the world works just not the in game map.its been going on 3 days now and it kinda sucks because i cant explore or find treasure maps im literally stuck on my starter island cause i cant find treasure to hire crew. Has anybody got a 2x2 working? ive seen a few people say they got a 1 square working but thats it. im going on 3 days without being able to play and im about to just give up.

even support is having problems getting the map to work you must have been lucky lol. Ive tried 3 different maps using the editor guide videos followed them to the letter and still nothing but black maps im losing hope.

mine loads fine its just i cant use anything map related lol means i cant collect treasures or anything

i got a list of things to do from the support ticket i put in and i had messed up the image files that go in severgrid on the FTP. I cleared everything uploaded the files with the proper names using both in website upload tool and an FTP editor and they were both a bust. I went in and double checked the map files were right but it still didnt fix the map issue sadly.

Created my own map and it works but exploring doesn't reveal the map it just stays black. Any idea what would cause this? https://imgur.com/a/AjXacGY

havent been able to log in for about a day now presumably because i logged off on one of my additional servers and not the home server (everybody else is able to log in because they are logged into the home server), and now all my servers refuse to start. Anybody else having this problem?

im having the same problem i logged off on one of my expansion servers and now i cant log back in everybody else can cause they are on the home server. reinstalled atlas, updated the servers, and reset them like 10x nothing works. support says they are able to log in and so can my friends its just me because i assume i made the mistake of logging off on not the home square.

where are you getting the map files at?

yea ive been playing for a couple days now theres just no windows server for me to edit

im in the same boat as merwido /ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/GameUserSettings.ini that path doesn't exist in my files. is there something you have to do to make it show up? mine only has the windowsnoedit

yea im holding h and inspecting the node so i dont know if this is a private server glitch or maybe we have to have specific tools? have you tried mining with a metal pick yet? its the only thing i can think of i havent tried.

im having the same trouble i have a forge but all i ever get is generic metal i never get iron or copper even though the rock im mining says pure copper it still gives me generic metal

How do you do the reset template? Not seeing an option for it. Sorry I’m fairly new to the server admin game, will it reset the server?

I’m thinking it’s a single server issue but we’re still in A1 which is why they all say A1 but it’s kind of a big deal we can’t use them as it seems the main way to get gold
