Maybe the dude had a stroke? No idea why they aren't responding, I was referred here by friends I trust and when they heard of the issues I'm having, they all seem pretty surprised. I'm frustrated, sure. And I've already started service with another host due to the combination of both server issues AND a serious lack of communication. Not to say I'm completely done here but I can't sit around waiting any more. Would be nice to have a refund but at this point you'll probably need it more than me. (Yes, I see twitter has been posted the past few hours, I've been waiting since 9:12 PM last night and I am sorry but I don't count a tweet "support.")

Crashed at 9:12 PM PST Server isn't restarting now.

I am sorry to hear that, I would be very frustrated if I couldn't restart and get back up. I do an update and validation manually every time I restart the server and we have been fortunate enough to at least get back in then. But the server is crashing every 7 hours, not at 10 minutes after the hour when the host makes back up copies but a few minutes after this (presumably, after the back up process finishes). I am only guessing what is happening here, based on our conversations on these forums, but it is a clear pattern and one which I am fortunately capable of babysitting every 7 hours. I hope it's fixed soon.

server just crashed again about an hour later, 5 of us in game. Didn't touch anything, promise! I've noticed that the game becomes completely unresponsive as well, when this happens. Or it has the past few times.

I was AFK all afternoon, having been in game for about 9 smooth hours. I had 3 admins on our server at approximately 6 PM PST and they were all booted. Server appears to remain up or restart, but no one could get back in. I restarted at 20:10 and we're back in with everything in tact. (Edit: I had auto-restart disabled)

Yes, this happened to me too, around 1 AM Pacific I made the following changes: Disabled PVP Disabled damage to player owned structures Removed server password Cleared SteamCMD When I logged back in and tried to get on our server, our characters and buildings were all gone. I thought I may have caused it with SteamCMD but I didn't think that was the same thing as cleaning the Saved Folder, I just wanted to clear the cache hoping to resolve some of the password issues we were having. Regardless, I was able to restore my character, and the buildings, and I believe others' characters too? But they are no longer in game world sleeping like they were before the 'wipe/restore' so I can only be hopeful that they were restored as well! I'll find out when they try to log back in.

Same now. I'm debating removing the password and disabling pvp and destruction of buildings temporarily, just so people can get in game... and calling it a night. But then I wouldn't be able to sleep.

Thanks for this update! You all rock. I took a nap and wondered what was going wrong, ha ha. Problem solved for everyone, except this one guy who can't seem to get on anyone's server that is password protected and we don't know why. He seems competent so, we're out of ideas.
